“Glad to hear it.” she said, shifting with him to get more comfortable as she sat back. 

Once he was comfortable, he looked up at her again. “I wish I could be a prince for you again.”

“You don’t need to be a prince for me to love you.” Jaina said as she leaned down to kiss him.

“You deserve more than some... half-baked traitor. Especially with all you’ve been through.”

“Glad to hear it.” she said, shifting with him to get more comfortable as she sat back. 

Once he was comfortable, he looked up at her again. “I wish I could be a prince for you again.”

The cooing continued, even as he raised his head to look at her. “You’re so beautiful…”

Grinning, her cheeks turned a soft pink as she brushed some of his hair back. “And you so handsome.” 

He blushed slightly. “To hear you say so lifts my heart more than you can ever imagine.”

“Good. I imagine your heart needs lifting.” she pressed her lips to his forehead. 

“It does. You do a good job at it, though.” He shifted under her, trying to get into a more comfortable position.

The cooing continued, even as he raised his head to look at her. “You’re so beautiful…”

Grinning, her cheeks turned a soft pink as she brushed some of his hair back. “And you so handsome.” 

He blushed slightly. “To hear you say so lifts my heart more than you can ever imagine.”

He kissed her back with vigor, eager to erase any thoughts of his failures from his mind. He had Jaina, that was all that mattered.

Leaning her head against his, Jaina smiled softly as she nuzzled his nose. “My phoenix.” she murmured before kissing him again. 

“Your phoenix,” he agreed, then nuzzled into her neck. He let out a soft cooing sound as he held her, content in the moment.

She hummed happily, resting her head on his. 

The cooing continued, even as he raised his head to look at her. “You’re so beautiful...”

He kissed her back with vigor, eager to erase any thoughts of his failures from his mind. He had Jaina, that was all that mattered.

Leaning her head against his, Jaina smiled softly as she nuzzled his nose. “My phoenix.” she murmured before kissing him again. 

“Your phoenix,” he agreed, then nuzzled into her neck. He let out a soft cooing sound as he held her, content in the moment.

‘What’s wrong?” she asked, brushing some of his hair back. 

“I don’t know… I suppose I got lost in introspection. It’s not good for me to get too deep into my own mind or think too hard, and I think I’ve done just that.” He turned his face away from her slightly, avoiding her eyes.

Wrapping her arms around his waist, Jaina leaned against him. “Need me to distract you?” she asked softly. 

“Please, if you would.” He smiled at her and hugged her, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

Stroking his cheek with one hand, Jaina smiled as she moved to sit in Kael’s lap and kiss him.

“It’s too bad I can’t use it anymore. I ruined that.” He shook his head slightly, trying to clear his mind of negative thoughts before they ruined the moment.

“Perhaps not, but I can still call you that. When we’re here, alone.” she sat up, looking down at him. 

“If you so wish to, Jaina.” He smiled sadly at her, then shifted and sat up, frowning.

“Kael’thas is just as lovely a name.” she murmured against his lips before placing soft kisses along his jaw. 

“It’s too bad I can’t use it anymore. I ruined that.” He shook his head slightly, trying to clear his mind of negative thoughts before they ruined the moment.

He put his arms around her and pressed his face into her hair with a sigh, content to just be there.

Smiling, Jaina closed her eyes, then said in a teasing voice, “Is that a wand poking my back or are you happy to see me?

“My lady, I am always happy to see you.” He held her tighter, snuggling against her.

“Jaina.” she said, resting her arms over his. “You can call me Jaina, Kael.” 

“Jaina.” He let his mouth feel her name, then hummed slightly. “I always thought it was such a lovely name.”

“And I always thought that Kael was such a lovely name as well.” she rolled over so that she was facing him, opening her eyes to grin down at him. 

“Thank you. I didn’t come to appreciate it until I realized how formal ‘Kael’thas’ sounds.” He grinned up at her, then kissed her.

He put his arms around her and pressed his face into her hair with a sigh, content to just be there.

Smiling, Jaina closed her eyes, then said in a teasing voice, “Is that a wand poking my back or are you happy to see me?
