Check out “Vodka and Lemonade” by The Label! “ Vodka and Lemonade is the brand new 4-track EP from The Label. Recorded in Liverpool over just one week, the band lived and breathed these 4 songs. While creating this work, the group experienced first hand the heavy tolls of heartbreak, debt, homelessness, corruption, bereavement, black eyes, bruised knuckles and bad blood. Through out all of this comes The Label's best work to date. From the toe-tapping title track opener, to the soaring chorus of "Copenhagen", the EP perfectly demonstrates The Label's sound of dogged individuality and fearlessness in doing whatever they want, however they want. Their time is now. So pray it never ends”.
You guys need more Zappa.

Ryan Kane, from Glasgow, supports We Stand With Shaker’s new initiative, Fast For Shaker, and was fasting on the day of the launch (Oct. 15). He said, “Stay Strong Shaker. Let’s get you back home to your family ASAP. All the love in the world.” After fasting, Ryan wrote, “Thank you for heading up this campaign. I’ve been able to talk about Shaker’s plight with many more people than I’d imagine. If Shaker remains there after the 25th, I expect I’ll go for another fast. But we’ll see how it goes.”

Distilling 2x1 liter of trifluoroacetic acid what was classified as “waste” in a nearby lab. The only problem with the acid was that it darkened in the bottle, so I got perfectly pure TFA by simply distilling it. Sigma sells this acid for nearly 500 Eur/liter so it was worth to work with it.
Trifluoroacetic acid is a triple-fluorinated version of acetic acid and it is a hundred thousand times stronger acid than normal acetic acid. Another interesting fact is, that normal acetic acid (mol weight 60 g/mol) has a boiling point 118 °C, the trifluoroacetic acid (mol weight 114 g/mol) boils at 72.4 °C.
Another quite interesting thing is, that oceans contain trifluoroacetic acid. TFA values ranges from <10 ng/L in the Pacific Ocean to greater than 150 ng/L in the Atlantic Ocean. Samples from the Canada Basin of the Arctic Ocean exhibis variable TFA concentrations (60−160 ng/L) down to 700 m. Below this depth, the TFA concentrations were constant (150 ng/L).
