Nachida Chandara has been missing since March 14th, 2007. She was only 15 years old at the time she was reported missing, and there are very few details about available about the circumstances around her disappearance. What is known is that Nachida was last seen at her family’s home in Phoenix, Arizona the day disappeared. She left her home sometime after 10pm, and never returned again. After she was reported missing, authorities classified Nachida as a runaway.

Two months later, in May 2007, investigators were somehow able to verify that Nachida was in Detroit, Michigan. She was believed to be using the name Lisa Tran as an alias. It is unclear how investigators received this information, and there have not been any other known sightings of her since May 2007. However, various sources state that Nachida may be in Seattle, Washington, or Miami, Florida. Those two places are far from each other and it is unclear how Nachida might be linked to them.

A decade has passed since Nachida’s disappearance and she still remains missing today. Additionally, she still remains classified as a runaway. People always gloss over how mentally damaging it can be to work in retail. I fucking hate that whenever I say “I could never work in retail again” someone has to reply “You snowflake millennials can’t take a starter job because you have to INTERACT with other people” No. Fuck you. I’ve worked as a planetarium host. I’ve worked as a public speaker. I’ve worked as a tutor and as a student teacher. I can work with people. I can work with crowds. Retail was fucking different. Retail was being treated as a subhuman. Retail was being treated so poorly that you have anxiety attacks before work. Having to work retail was a factor in my last suicide attempt. If I hear you say one fucking word about retail workers playing the victim I will personally break every bone in your body. Fuck You.

The holidays are coming up. Retail workers are going to be spiraling into a nightmare beyond human comprehension. If you’ve worked retail, you know this. If you haven’t, be aware of it. Please be kind to every retail worker you come across. Please be patient and understanding. It is misery out there.

Many retail workers this season will be temporary and may only know a handful of things. Please be patient. 

I have also seen an upswing in older people working in retail, please be patient with the ones who struggle with the register interfaces. 

Abd they’ll do their best to destroy local businesses.

we really gotta stop waiting until kids are grown to help them work through their trauma, like the minute you see that a child in your life is behaving the way that they are due to trauma, you owe it to them to at least try to find a way to help them start working through it, being an adult and working through it is really hard, but it’s easier when you’ve at least been introduced to basic tools, skills, and strategies when you were younger and prepped with the knowledge that not only is your trauma not your fault, but that people cared enough to reach you in the midst of your initial struggles.
