Heartstopper is one of the few works of gay fiction where I’ve never come across a queer man that likes it it’s almost impressive typically absolutely anything has at least some tangible fanbase even that webtoon with the twinks did but heartstopper seems to have some kind of fag repellant sprayed all over it

If heartstopper came out ten years ago it would’ve been one of those shows teenage girls would’ve watched and then announced to you they decided they’re no longer homophobic

#the only person i know who likes heartstopper is a friend of mine that is a bi guy#i never even tried to watch it bc i know i wont like it#but now i'm curious for what he likes about it#for me it just seems too humorless and uneventful (even for slice of life's standards)
