Hey its been ages since we updated this blog whoops

Creaturemon is now available but it is not finished and will not be finished by us

The reason behind this is that most of us have lost interest in working on this and would rather be doing other stuff, i (vince) personally am not having a ton of fun programming it anymore.

This version goes up to the first gym in Detroit. Theres a lot of references in here but a lot of them are old, theres also a few old creatures present. this is because there was a span of about a year where we were not working on it

Theres a lot of mistakes that you will see opening the game, the male walk cycle and the professor intro sprite being some of them, sorry about that lol, you can try to fix them tho and even complete the game yourself if you want.

I just want to thanks the others working on this with me and also apologise to them for not being able to complete this, you guys are great:

Hey there! It’s been a while guys, a LONG while. Thank you so much for following this blog, and for encouraging us. Unfortunately this project will not be finished under this same group, but we hope this demo somewhat makes up for it. Though I’m no longer interested in The Creatures, they’re still the reason I’ve met some great friends on here and I hope to continue these relationships beyond this project.

Thank you again for supporting us, and we hope that you enjoy this demo.

Hey! This is Gwen. Well…. First, I want to apologize for not being active. School held me up and I’ve lost my interest in The Creatures. When Wren and I started this idea, I was hyped up. With life sending things my way and The Creatures having their own problems, I couldn’t juggle them. But, I hope you guys enjoy this demo, even with the small problems that might occur. I want to thank you guys with all my heart for the support from the beginning. P.S. My birthday is on June 25th! Say Happy Birthday if you want too~

Contest Time!

Since this game is for The Creatures fandom to enjoy we want you guys to get involved,

We need you guys to design the protagonists!

Rules:

  • Please use the original LeafGreen/FireRed characters as templates (sprite and full character)
  • If you design both the male and female protagonists please enter them separately
  • When making the sprite please also include side and back views
  • Remember, we want them to be different from the usual protagonists

To enter simply tag your entries as #Creaturemon

The winners will have their characters featured in the game’s final release!

(Even if you dont want to enter we would appreciate it so much if you were to reblog this to get the word around)

Just did a full test run of the demo

everything seems to be working, just a few missing scripts here and there which im fixing now

We need another artist

Since we currently only have 2 pixel artists working on 150 sprites its hard for them to work for deadlines since they also have personal lives and stuff.

To get this game out we need all the help we can get so if you are a pixel artist and would like to help us out with the making of Creaturemon please message us or contact toxicwren

We are looking for 1 or 2 more pixel artists but being a member of 808 kick will also mean you have to be able to:

  • Be okay with sharing your skype with us
  • Talk to us via our skype group (its ok if you dont want to be in calls)
  • Meet deadlines (we dont give strict deadlines but i will give you a date for you to aim for)

To become a sprite artist for us you must:

  • be able to make pixel art (duh)
  • Contact us (as said before)
  • either submit us some of your work or link us to some

we will message you whether or not you got the position
