The Good "Doctor"

@doctordelmont / doctordelmont.tumblr.com

Doctor Delmont's Demented Display of Art, Movies, Monsters, "Abby Normal" Psychology, or anything I find amusing, no matter how disturbing it may be. As with any Freakshow, it is advised that children, the squeamish, the easily-offended, and the overly-sheltered retreat to a safe area where they may proceed to cry in a corner somewhere, staying far away from the rest of us. Self-Righteous Pricks can piss off as well. Welcome to the Psycho Ward, I'll be your "Doctor" this evening.

Kid knows how to take the hits!

“Dream Come Tr--”, WAIT, is this kid terminally ill?

I’d expect this from Attitude Era WWF, but WCW?  Damn, I’m impressed.  And I’m also SO going to Hell for laughing.

Oh, who am I kidding.  I was already going to Hell for enjoying an Al Snow match back in the 90s.

The last day has left me mourning the death of John "TotalBiscuit" Bain, who has succumbed to his battle with cancer.

It doesn't matter how many years you spend preparing for one's death, because it still hits hard when it happens.  I respected John deeply over the years not only for his entertainment value, but because of his genuine integrity and refusal to back down from what he believed in.  I admired how he often gave a spotlight for the little guy; from small indie game developers, to people who had lost their lives and were promptly discarded and overshadowed by unethical practices.

In regard to the latter, this is my favorite video John ever made, though not a happy favorite.  It's not pretty, but it's reality.  Maybe one day it'll stop being reality and just be history, but until then, it is still true and relevant.  To me, it also exemplifies John's integrity in the media, while "professional" journalists and news sources have shown more interest in exploiting and misleading the public.

A lot of people will look passed all this and choose to instead mock or revel in his death; a surfacing of some petty, arbitrary grudge stemming from some petty, isolated incident.  But these people do not matter.  The buzzards and worms are inevitable, and cannot be dissuaded from carrying out their nature, but they should never be the focus when remembering and caring for those who have died.

in the vast sea of media shills, mouthpieces, hack-frauds, and sycophantic parasites eagerly awaiting to thrive at the expense of others, John was a refreshing alternative.

I will severely miss him.

Found in the first page of my 12th grade math notebook

It never gets easier.  And this is the LEAST crazy page of that college math class notebook.  Most of the later pages are just the barely-legible words, “Make It Stop!”, written over, and over again in a shaky, madman’s scrawl.
