Shira, this is brilliant.

Oh I forgot the best part, this originally happened in a text message and my friend responded with “why is this winter longer than all other winters?”

Contemporary AU “On Christmas, Jews go out for Chinese food and then to the movies” picture of my beloved characters. The m/f couple have duck and the f/f couple have beef/broccoli, if anyone cares.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day! See above for links to the individual books or the bundle option to get them all together in a single transaction.

Queen Shulamit, her partner Aviva, and the rest of their fictional Jewish fairyland wish you a happy and love-filled Chanukah!

Catch their latest adventure here: The Olive Conspiracy (whose first chapter takes place on Sukkot and final chapter during Chanukah!) or the short stories in Tales from Perach. Above picture by @aroaessidhe on commission. PDF’s available too.

Awwwwwwwwwwww

I hope that the two of them have a wonderful Chanukah <3

And that everyone else celebrating it does as well!

Thank you so much! 🤗 Also a quick note that the books linked above are $2 - $4 in case that helps anybody out with some inexpensive wlw positivity or gift giving 🕎

I looooove these books so much! I have The Second Mango in physical form and the next 2 on kindle, as well as several other books from this phenomenal author 😍😍😍 my fav is still hands down about the knitter and the artist, but Tales from Perach is everything I’ve ever needed in a queer fantasy world. I gush about them to all my fellow queers whenever I get the chance ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Happy Chanukah, my friends!

Here’s the closing scene in The Olive Conspiracy, on the first night of Chanukah. Chef Yael and her waitress Halleli light the candles after closing up for the night, with Queen Shulamit sharing the moment because she stopped by to honor Yael for the part she played in protecting the country’s agriculture.

It will take the farms time to recover, but eventually, like in the story of Chanukah itself, there will be enough oil again.

The Olive Conspiracy is a Jewish fantasy novel about queer women (and one token dude, who is also a lizard) saving their land from an international plot to mess up their crops. PDF is $4; also available on Amazon/paperback. Shulamit and Halleli are both femme cis lesbians and Yael is bi and trans.

Art on commission by @tincansamurai.

<3 Heartwarming and beautiful art to go with this heartwarming and beautiful scene <3

Announcing the re-release of Eitan’s Chord”, my erotic f/f/f short about Chanukah fairies gathering together to grant a poor queer Jewish human couple’s wishes while they sleep! Meet “cute butch Latke, enthusiastic party girl Dreidl, and their elegant leader Menorah”, seen above in art by @agaricals. (The beautiful new cover is by Jane Dominguez.)

The new version has a couple of minor improvements, such as Latke being on the fairy roller derby team now. Oh, and now it’s only 99¢! 🕎

BTW the human portions of the story are trans m/cis f romance and completely G-rated; the fairy portions are “heat level all nine candles.” 😏😏😏

:D

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

The best part is that I was just saying last night how badly I wanted more cute stories like this….

<3 I have GOT to read this cuteness <3

It is SO CUTE y'all

@shiraglassman are there any audiobook options for the visually impaired crowd? And those who just prefer their stories told out loud?

The only book of mine that is out in audio is Fearless , and it doesn't sell so there was no way to continue funding audiobooks. I am really sorry about that. I tried to make audiobooks myself for Mangoverse, but the post attracted very little interest. That being said, I hope you'll check out Fearless even if that's all I have -- it's about a lesbian band mom who gets snowed in with the music teacher and it's super cozy and comforting and low-stakes.

Thanks for asking, and I wish I had a better answer. Maybe some day!

@improfem wanted to know her name. She's Josie (Joseph with his coat of many colors so she's Josephine officially.)

Sometimes she's Josephine the Dancing Queen, Only Kittenteen, if I feel like singing.

Hello

We are at the emergency vet, will update

They are admitting her to the hospital with an elevated white blood cell count and giving her fluids

;-;

HUGS HUGS HUGS

SHE MUST BE OKAY ;-;

Y'all,

I am sorry to report that Josephine is gone. I am among friends playing music, which is pretty much the only thing I'm capable of right now. My rabbi was with me when it happened and I had spent several hours cuddling her beforehand. I am full of grief but this is the price of love and that's okay.

Hug your critters.

Friday the 13th is a good day to post black cats, right?

Shabbat shalom from Halleli, one of the secondary lesbian characters in The Olive Conspiracy, and her little black kitten. (You can also see her and her wife Hadar on the cover to Tales from Perach, where their scavenger-hunt date is the second to longest story in the collection.) Halleli and Hadar go through some hardship in Olive, but it’s not lesbian-specific hardship, and everything works out both for them and for the book’s main f/f couple–all Jewish, incidentally.

Picture drawn by @theloserfish on commission.

Some of you who have been reading the new Knit One Girl Two and other stories paperback have met her there, too!

<3 She is wonderful <3

And so is her little kitteh buddy here :D

Micah, the trans street boy, jamming with the queen’s bodyguard Rivka in an alleyway at midnight on Shabbat in a scene from  A Harvest of Ripe Figs. Illustration by @theloserfish .

Note for people looking for non-tragic trans representation: his subplot has a happy ending.

The cis f/f couple in the book get a happy ending, too! (Quick elevator pitch on the plot: cozy fantasy/mystery about a queen helping her citizens with problems like illegal shapeshifting potions and the theft of a priceless violin. Fun if you’ve ever wanted to watch a tiny lesbian question suspects while wearing a baby in one of those baby slings all my friends wore. Also fun if you like books where the entire cast is Jewish and nobody dies.)

This is on Gumroad now as a $4 pdf for those avoiding Amazon. Good shabbos!
