WOD ~ Sunday 11.22.2015 & Monday 11.23.2015

Sunday was straight arm gymnastics work...had to use the rings...equipment limitations.

Monday - bent arm gymnastics work, then the Filthy 50 beach style: sandbags and substitutes.  38:28.

In between we got to meet my friends baby!  She seemed to love attacking my face and sucking on it like a fish.  

Today I’m sore and doing office work since it’s raining in paradise.

WODS and wounds

So many things have been happening. 

Workouts...swimming 2x this week.  Getting to the pool late on Friday and doing tabata laps...not fun. 

Gymnastics, then the WOD - OHS 5x3; 21-15-9 OHS; T2B with 50 double unders in between. 

Had a recheck with my surgeon...it appears my cervical fusion didn’t fully commit itself, so I’m in pain.  So much for the 97% success rate.  

I did get to go to the world series on Sunday!  I’m a Yankee fan, but it was amazing to watch a team win the World Series!  Such a fun night!

Christine - End of the paleo challenge.  I think I improved 30 seconds, may have lost 4 lbs...not the greatest with sticking to things this time around.  I have to take measurements and review my notes.  

3rds for time 500m Row  12 BW Deadlifts...135 - Yeah, that’s my body weight!  bahaha 21 box jumps

Day late...

Jumped into 5:30 class...seemed to have sweated out the remainder of my illness!

10 rds for max meters and max double unders

:45 sec row :15 sec rest :45 sec double unders :15 sec rest

1892 total - just couldn’t get those double unders strung together.

Made a guest appearance at CrossFit Gantry to work out with some of my parents at the noon class!  Grace why not! 

This is the first time I’ve ever done Grace RXed.  Last time was about a minute faster at 85, not too bad.

Just recovered from a stomach bug, so really I’m happy with what ever.

Legs Bulgarian split squats.  Unweighted today.  Just couldn’t get the balance down with weight.  Superset Harop Curl.  

Single leg jump rope 75 followed by standing on same leg with eyes closed.  Three rounds each leg, no rest in between...harder than it seems!

Hey guys...long time no see...I’ve been a little busy.

I’ve been doing some working out and focusing on gymnastics work.  Bane of my existence.

A little bit of the day...Museum of Natural History...AMAZING.  For my NY friends, get a NYID!  You get a year membership...you and up to 4 kids for free including special exhibits.  I also got a discount at the MOMA.  So far this summer! 

Then Gus at 2 - then we had a small bite to eat.  

5:30 class - working back up my backsquat...200 is coming.  My rope broke again during the metcon!  UGH! 

Now, off to coaching 2 classes...Oh and dawg time this afternoon...ran that girl.

Rx weight Ring Rows.  Thank gawd for my partner...I missed counting a whole round.

Last week was the first week of camp and I think my stress level was enough to count as a workout!  I was falling asleep at 9:30 most nights. 

Finally got back to the gym tonight...new schedule new time slots.

Today was perfect:  snatch (skill work).  Sadly not a lot of people showed up for classes today.  They may have been fried from yesterday, but alas a lot of times athletes don’t consider skill work a wod...well it’s like voting.  If you don’t vote, don’t complain about what happens.  Snatch ain’t going to get any better in a metcon.

115# PR - I missed twice...anything over 100 I get wayyyyy too inside my head.  It took a friend to stand for me and tell me I was going to do it...then I did.

I graduated high school on this day 24 years ago!  Hot damn! 

Thursday was a loooonnnnggggg day!

Coached 6AM 7AM 9AM.  Took 12:30PM.  Coached kids 4:15PM 5:30PM.  Coached 7:30PM 8:30PM.  Also did laundry, registered some kids for camp and dealt with dog lady...there was an incident. 

Why YES, that is my artwork!
