my brain: who are you inherently? what is your baseline personality, beneath the influences and the performative desire to be liked? do you even know? is it possible to know? what do you offer to the people who you want to ingratiate yourself towards? how much do you modify yourself out of the fear of being thought of poorly? how many layers must be removed before the truth of your nature is revealed, and would that nature contribute positively or negatively on the world without your anxieties influencing you?
