Getting in over my head again, as per usual. I’ve decided to try and replace the entire Maxis ‘Groovy’ set because I hate it. I’d done the walls and floors a while back, and the doors and windows were easy as I ended up deciding to make them texture replacement only (though I should probably add a subset to the door/frame at least), but then wondered if you could change objects. It seems like you can by simply changing the GUIDs of the objects you want to use as a replacement, but I’m running into a few weird problems that I have no idea how to fix or change. (Object texture slaving and referencing is confusing! I miss 3DIDs and Property Sets ;___; )

Still, something to keep boredom at bay for a while!

Lately I've been combining my reinterest in FFVII with my idle hobby of 'messing about with milkshape (and accidentally breaking everything)'. :D

It's going well, but morphs and I are sworn enemies apparently.

I usually just cut the heads off sims in preview pictures, because it's only the outfit that is important. But I really liked the way the lighting came out on these two while I was taking preview shots of the kimonos. I'll have to figure out what skintone I'm using on the left one, because it's lovely! :)

I'll be uploading old things I just never got round to taking pictures of, I think.

This is something I made to make a default with. I removed the bow and did a shoe swap on the Maxis Rave Kimono, then I ended up doing more recolours than I meant to. Seven, actually. Lovely boots are by Yuxi, and the bottoms are bear tights/cat tights by me, and I've used those gorgeous jeans by Io that I favour so much. <3

This is my edited version of Moxxa's converted Simply Modern cabinet mesh from here. I gave it two subsets so you can now choose various colours for the door panels and the cabinet frame. This doesn't replace Moxxa's original conversion, so you can have both in game, if you really wanted.

I think I did everything right on it, updating the GUIDs and fixing integrity and all that, but let me know if something seems wrong.

I updated a few (four) of MissTeaQueen's lovely recolours of the original cabinet here to use them with this updated mesh, because I really wanted to be able to mix and match the doors/frames on those.

(Also included are minty chevron recolours of the end table and coffee table from Moxxa's Simply Modern set.)

Learning how easy it is to make recolours with the object workshop in SimPe was probably a bad thing. Now I can indulge in all kinds of bad taste mischief. I just need to figure out how to add subsets now.

Amovitam converted this Back to School set from TS3 here. I liked the shape of it, but knew I was never going to use it with all the stickers everywhere. So I edited the mesh so it comes in plain boring stickerless white now, and will overwrite the green original. And I did a plain black recolour.

Download the mesh edits and recolour here. Let this mesh overwrite Amovitam's if you have it. There's a version with the shelf under decorative wall hangings, and a version with the shelf categorised as a shelf (which I think you need AL for?) delete whichever you don't want.

This is only the second object recolour I've done, so hopefully everything is okay!

Seven colours, nine bodyshapes. PSDs and meshes included. Everything is texture referenced to a single file, so overall size is less than 5MB, and they use the BSOK so they will be organised in your catalogue. Full info and credits here. :)

What I'm supposed to be doing: Uploading the uniforms an anon requested, fixing the bump map on them, and taking sensible pictures of them and showing the different bodyshapes.

What I'm actually doing: LOOK AT ALL THIS COOL SPACE CC PEOPLE HAVE MADE, I WILL TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING. Oops.

Here's a bunch of recolours of the outfit I used as a default for yfbodyletterman, as well as a male version to compliment it, by request. These have been on my LJ for a while, but I figured I should update my tumblr.

I've posted these as defaults here, and there's a full list of credits there too. Thank you to those people. :)

These are the custom versions. They are everyday and outerwear for adults and young adults, and they should be clearly labelled so you can delete what you don't want. Also, they are not townie enabled, so you can pick them out for your sim, but don't need to worry about your adult townies wandering about community lots looking like college students.

There's a full breakdown of the credits involved for this mesh on the defaulted version I have, but this is basically two meshes by Keoni combined into one and given three recolours. :)

I'm slowly but surely updating all my old clothing defaults to make sure that they have the right shoe sounds, that they're enabled for maternity if they have a pregmorph, and trying to see if I can make the teen equivalents. I don't want to spam this tumblr with them all, as I really wanted to keep this one for custom things, not just a billion defaults. So all the defaults will be posted here and at my LJ. Right now I'm picking on H&M's stuff.

Anyway, this is three of the custom outfits I did to use as replacements!

I quite liked the ugly knit dress from H&M as it actually meshed the dress over the undershirt which also was meshed, instead of it all just being painted onto the skin! So, I added some converse (I think by Sentate!) on instead of boots, removed the meshed on bracelet, and used some textures from a t-shirt by Io to make it look like it’s a top and skirt, with an undershirt. :) Available in everyday and athletic. Here. (Teens YA & Adults)

YanderePlum’s ‘Young Blood' shoe-swapped to have Amaryll's flats, and I did a couple of recolours of it. :) Here. (YA-Adults Only)

And finally, three recolours of ZeCaptain’s ‘Sugar Cube’, but I used Trapping’s mesh edit as it had a pregmorph. Comes in mint, black and white, in everyday, formal and for adults, maternity. Here. (Teens YA & Adults)

This mesh is a full-body mashup of Jessy's Rude Boy with Uranium Z's Grimy Leather. It uses various textures from Daum/Bosie, Aikea Guinea, and Wendigo. :)

Anyway. Seven recolours, available for young adults and adults in outerwear and everyday, though the one with the sweater and the two high necked ones are outerwear only. Grab it from mediafire here.

I also used this outfit for some default replacements over on LJ.

I'm getting so close to having defaulted all the male Uni hairs. :)

A quick note about the longsimple hairs, because I was asked why there were three replacements for supposedly the same hair on my LJ and thought it a very sensible question.

Sometimes there's HIDDEN versions of the exact same hair or outfit for some reason. Usually, people will either not replace these at all, or they'll just replace them with the exact same thing they replaced the unhidden one with.

This hair in particular has three versions and they all have different names 'ymhairlongsimple', 'amhairlongsimple_clone' and amhairlongsimple_ep7'. The latter two are usually hidden I believe.

What I've done is replaced them with three different things and unhidden them, so you get three different hairs instead of the same one three times. :D

Hopefully that makes sense! I always do this with all the defaults I do, so that's why you'll find I did three versions of aftopmotojacket for example. Because each one is actually replacing something different, not the same thing. :)

Last post for a while. This is just three recolours of this dress by Keoni. :) Get them (without the mesh) here, or as a default for afbodydresslilblack here.

This is just a fullbody mesh I cobbled together for a default here originally. You can see three more colours there (the others are a lot less bright than this one :P). It combines recolours by Queen of France on a Sentate mesh (made separate by Trapping), and skirt and docs by Io. There's four tucked and one untucked recolour. There are fatmorphs, but no pregmorphs. (Belts around the waist never make for good maternity meshing!)
