Bad Day rp Starters

"Why the long face?"
"You seem bummed. Wanna go do something fun?"
"You alright?"
"Don't lie to me. What's wrong?"
"If you don't want to talk about it, you don't have to."
"I'm not making you uncomfortable, am I?"
"You've been awfully quiet today."
"You know, you're not really acting like yourself."
"There has to be something I can do to turn that frown upside down."
"Want to talk about it?"
"It'll be okay. Everyone has bad days."
"Oh, come on! I can't leave you all alone over here, mopey and unhappy."
"Let's see a smile!"
"You're so much prettier when you smile."
"You know, if you want to just relax and take the day off, I don't think anyone would blame you."
"I know you've been feeling a little down, so I brought your favorite snack and a movie!"
"We could just cuddle or something, if you think that would make you feel better."

Mimi was…yeah, Mimi was something alright. He wouldn’t have been surprised that she made a spectacle of the situation. Mimi always meant well, but she could be overwhelming sometimes. Yamato used to joke that America was probably the perfect country for her.

Takeru sighs wistfully before adjusting his hat. He snorts, “If it’s only ‘edible’ then obviously I kind of have to now.” there’s a toothy grin in her direction; he’ll sound like he’s joking of course, but TK did intend on bringing her some decent food—doctor-approved, of course. "I remember when I broke my arm I was stuck eating liquids for two whole days in the hospital. They said it was soup, but that didn’t taste like soup at all!" but then, it wasn’t as though his mom cooked that well either— Upon her request, TK’s mouth quirks in thought. How was he supposed to address this? Their story was far from “boring”, after all, but how much was safe to tell her? Digimon weren’t a new thing anymore, but people were still learning to adjust. Hikari would take it well even if it came as a shock…right? Brows knit together and he takes his bookbag off of his shoulders, tugging first a candy bar out to lay at her side. "If you don’t like that, give it to your brother Tai when he shows up." a nod, and he goes on to answer her question. "We didn’t exactly meet in school, no, but we’ve been through a lot together. I guess you could say that you’re one of my closest friends." he scratches the side of his head, contemplative, "We met because I went to summer camp once with Tai. My parents got divorced so it was one of the few ways my big brother and I could hang out." he leans back away from the chair, humming thoughtfully as he glanced at the ceiling. It was so weird talking about all of these people as if she didn’t know them. Suddenly the wiggling in his lap begins to intensify, and before he can quell it a shrill voice emerges from the bag along with a tiny orange head. "TK, TKaaaaaaAAAY—" Patamon, obviously impatient, takes a deep breath of fresh air. "TK you really gotta invest in a new bag if you expect me to be carted around like that, it still smells like last week’s—" large eyes then spy Hikari, and the Digimon gasps. "KARIIIII—" he hops out, essentially bashing [gently] into her head and clinging to the top. "Kari kari kaaaari I heard you got hurt, are you okay? I couldn’t hear anything but muffles in that bag!" Takeru stares wide-eyed at his Digimon, before taking his hat off to twist it sheepishly. "I guess I forgot to mention this little guy. It’s a long story, but I don’t mind giving you the short version h-ha—" he shakes his head with a loud sigh. "Don’t look at me like that, TK. You said to wait until you gave the signal. Never told me what the signal was." the Digimon sounds a little huffy, but good-natured all the while. He makes a happy little nest out of Hikari’s hair, obviously pleased to see her.

He was insisting to buy food. That was nice of him, but Hikari couldn't just let it go. It didn't feel right to have him do that, even if it was as simple as bringing her something to eat. "Thanks, that's really nice of you, but I said it was okay. You don't need to do such a thing." She gave a smile to attempt to reassure him that it was alright.

She picked up on the boy's actions and found a few tells that showed something about the question was hard to speak about. He was hesitating and trying to figure out how to say what he had to say, she was sure of it.

She blinked when he brought out the candy bar and placed it beside her. It was tempting. She broke contact with the sugary goodness and looked at TK when he started speaking. Oh yeah, she had a brother apparently. She tried to keep that fact in her mind. TK had started his very brief and vague story. It only told her that they've been friends for a long time, had possible a strong relationship and sadly learned about his unfortunate family situation. "Oh..." She was about to comment when something caught her eye.

She knew one thing for sure, bags do not move on their own. She gasped when something came out of it. And it apparently could speak. It had a cute voice though. She was taken aback how fast time was moving due to the little orange winged thing's activeness. She assumed he knew her because of how joyous he was to see her, the back of her mind questioning why she would know such a mysterious talking animal-like thing. He took refuge on her head, so she wasn't able to catch what he looked like exactly. "Uh hi. I-I'm fine." She replied to it between awkward laughs.

She couldn't help but smile at the little creature thing. For some reason, she didn't feel scared, possibly a little startled from how sudden it was. She mustered a smile at TK. "I thought you weren't truly telling the complete story earlier. Is it a wild guess to assume that him and that are related somehow?" She had a feeling it was so, it would explain his earlier actions. She grabbed the candy bar, opened it and offered it to the little cutie on her head. Hopefully it liked it. "I wouldn't mind the long story. It doesn't look like I'm going anywhere anytime soon anyways."

"Merry Christmas, Takeru!"

Avatar

And so it was Christmas. A quiet morning in a quiet day of an otherwise plain Thursday. Takeru had his share of breakfast and opened gifts with his mother. In a holiday vastly considered for family and even romantics, there wasn’t much he could do. Aside from changing how he’d always spent it.Takeru hesitated, but at last it may be high time he changed. Just this once. Just one attempt to make an initiative as opposed to constantly shrouding his own sentiments. So he pulled out his cellphone, took a deep breath, and began typing out a message until there was a soft knock at the door. “Eh?” He questioned softly before opening the door. “Hikari-Chan! Merry Christmas to you too! I was just about to ask for you to come over…. I-uh, got you something”.

"And what a great thing too!" Takeru said with a laugh. "Ahh I see. I went to visit Yamato and Otou-San yesterday with my mother. We had a great dinner together so I’m not surprised they’re seeing everyone else today".

"Gee Hikari you’re too kind! Please wont you come in? Your gift is under the tree along with everyone else’s".

A sign of great friendship is when they would play along with jokes. She giggled at his jab at her joke. "Oh, that sounds like a nice, quaint dinner. Did Yamato cook?"

With the host's approval, she entered the household. "Thank you." She handed his gift over to him. "Of course! Here, take it. But be careful. It's a little fragile." Once it was placed in his hands she tapped the top of the box with a grin. "This side up!"

"Merry Christmas, Mimi!" She said as she presented a neatly wrapped present. "Hope you're having a good one!" ((sending now since im unsure if I'll be online during christmas my time))

Mimi took the present, and being careful not to hit her with it, wrapped her arms around the younger girl. “Thank you, Hikari!” She said excitedly, and started unwrapping the gift.

Hikari smiled and gladly accepted the hug. "You're welcome Mimi, though you don't need to say thanks. It is the season of giving, afterall!" She happily waited as she watched Mimi go straight into tearing into it. She grew a little anxious, hoping that Mimi's reaction was a good one to show that the present she picked out was adequate.

The first thing Mimi would see once she opened it up would be...

and on it's wrist it wore... She hoped her friend would notice it or she would have to point it out herself.

Inside the box was also a card she made herself, using a picture of the digital world's landscape as a background. On it, it said...

Merry Christmas Mimi! Hope you are having a good holiday season and had a great year. I hope you like the present I got you. I tried my best with the bracelet. I’m still learning with the bracelet making! Anyways, I can’t tell you how much of a great friend you are and here’s to making more memories in the new year.  Love, Hikari ~  Happy Holidays!

Gatomon sat down across from Hikari, staring at the egg in her lap. Her sapphire orbs flickered between her and the egg as Hikari explained where it had come from. At her partner’s question she leaned closer to the egg, examining it closely. "It looks like a Digi egg, but it’s different. It’s scent is different, almost as if it’s not made of data like ours are. But if that’s the case…what kind of egg is it? Do you have any animals that lay eggs this size here on earth?”

The girl rubbed the egg to see if that would effect it in any way. She was glad she had Gatomon's knowledge to help her with this situation though the answers given only rose more questions. It would make sense that other digimon would be able to sense other digimon or digieggs.

Hikari shook her head. "No, I don't think so. They don't come in patterns like these green spots either." She grinned. "I guess we'll just have to wait until it hatches to see what's in it!" If it was nice and friend, maybe it could be great company for Gatomon!

"Guess my psychic training is paying off!" She joked, giggling. "I thought I’d come by since my family already celebrated christmas last night and we weren’t planning to do anything today. Taichi went off to who knows where." Most likely Sora or Yamato’s or went to meet up with both of them. Hikari smiled. "Sorry I didn’t tell you first. But anyways, I got you something too!" She said holding up the gift she had hidden behind her back.

He sensed the quiet, and wondered just how bad things were. Best start from the top, then. Nothing wrong with that, even if he might say something she already knows.

"I’m fine! Just a little worried about you. But you’re Hikari, so it’ll be ok." a small smile and a laugh— "We go to school together, along with some other friends I’m sure will visit you soon. I think you and I have known each other since I was at least 8 or so, haha." he brushes it off like it’s no big deal, even if it was. No need to make her feel worse for not remembering. "How’s the food here? If it’s bad I can bring something better. Do you remember any of your favorites?" a pause, "If not, that’s an opportunity to make new favorites huh? Could have a fun food tasting game or something!" that was actually a really good idea. While Hikari was recovering, maybe he could get their friends together and they could cook or something? He feels a wiggle against his back, and blinks. Maybe bringing Patamon wasn’t the best of ideas—he’d convinced his pal that it was too early for him to talk to Hikari at risk of shocking her more. He’ll take his time. "So you…don’t remember anything, do you?" a sad smile and tilt of head—"That’s okay, though. You have a lot of good friends who will look out for you until you feel better."

The phrase, "But you're Hikari." made her wonder what that meant. She was taken aback by how the boy acted. He said he was worried about her which meant he cared about her but the way he acted so calm was pleasantly contagious. It was a weird nice feeling to see him not hurting on the outside. She was relieved that a repeat situation with that Mimi girl might not occur with this boy.

She took all the information the boy fed her mind. So, he was a friend she had known for a long while. When asked about food, she recalled the small portion of food she was offered. "It's edible." Not that all tasty but her stomach could take it. She smiled as the boy rambled on. "That sounds like fun. But, you don't need to." She could manage with the food served and she didn't want to cause any trouble.

She shook her head to answer that she did in fact could not recall a thing from her past. "That's good. If they're anything like you or Mimi who came earlier, then I'm sure they are great. " She smiled. The atmosphere was being to be more comfortable for her. "Maybe you could tell me about yourself? What about how we met?" She asked. "Even if it's something boring like, We were in the same class or something of the sort." She just wanted to know more about T.K and maybe learn more about herself in the process.
