The more the show allows Mick to have more to do, showing the many sides of his personality, his absurdity, his strength, smarts, affection, loyalty, angst and flaws I am truly just 😍😍😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💕💕💕💕
“You… you are Rebecca. I’d recognise that wisdom anywhere!”
I think Mick and Sara’s “Yeah, weird” statements (about them being two of the three remaining original Legends) had two very different underlying meanings.
I think Sara was just genuinely like “wow….weird.” Like when you realize you’re the oldest in your group of friends kinda weird.
But Mick…day one, Mick didn’t want to be a Legend. He betrayed them like three times, tried to kill all of them more than once. He was the furthest away in terms of a hero when he first boarded the ship and now….now I’d probably put him closer to a combination of Charlie and Renee (Wild Dog) in terms of his moral compass.
For Mick…“huh, weird” means “I’m still….here?” And for Mick “Heatwave” Rory, that is a HUGE fucking deal
I’m also really glad that the writers have been easing off the “dumb Mick” bits this season. He’s slowly veering back towards his Season One personality, and I think that makes him a more interesting character than being “the dumb, brutish one.”
A true love letter from the screenwriters of Legends of Tomorrow to all those who create and to all the fans
