“I’m an analyst. I don’t interrogate people – I write reports!” – Jack Ryan (1.01)
Does anyone else have that one fanfiction that they’re dying to to write but it’s like, mega long and basically a whole universe, and then you’ve got head-cannons to go with that fanfiction and like fanfiction to go with that fanfiction an back-stories for every character and you get frikin’ feels about that universe and it’d be the most coolest thing if you could just be bothered to frikin’ write it.

“No mortal ear could have heard the kelpie passing through the night, for the great black hooves of it were as soundless in their stride as feathers falling.” ― Mollie Hunter, The Kelpie’s Pearls

Dear Bilingual people
What language do you think in?
I asked my mom because her first language is in Spanish and her answer was “I don’t even know. I don’t even know if I think”
I spoke to a neurologist about this, and he told me that bilingual people have a drastically different thought process than monolinguals.
The way he explained it, monolinguals think in patterns that represent the words they’re thinking of, whereas bilinguals think in a completely different language (an internal ‘third’ language if you will) and then translate from that third language to either one of their native languages.
October 21st 2015: Marty McFly arrives in the future
On this day in 2015, Marty McFly and his friend Dr. Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown, arrive from the year 1985. Marty has travelled to the future in order to prevent his son from being arrested, but in the process accidentally allows his nemesis Biff Tannen to steal the DeLorean time machine. Tannen travels back to 1955 and gives his younger self a sport almanac, which alters history by allowing Tannen to become supremely wealthy. The year 2015 which Marty and Doc visit is a futuristic land of flying cars, hoverboards, bizarre fashion, and wearable tech - including self-drying clothes and self-tying laces. While many of these things remain fanciful, some of the technology Marty uses is not too far from reality.

(noun) Described as a fear of unwanted change, metathesiophobia reveals a deeper personal and existential challenge than most phobias. Metathesiophobia is rooted from an inner insecurity and the knowledge that we cannot control every detail in our lives, such as your best friend moving away or entering adulthood. One of the most beloved and misunderstood literary characters, Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the Rye suffered from metathesiophobia on a small scale. Holden restrained change by running away and in a sense putting his existential dread on pause. (via wordsnquotes)
A list of possible reasons why I didn't reblog your political/social justice post:
•Its good, but its depressing and I just wanted some positivity that day
•Its something I wouldn’t want to reblog without discussing, but I have no time and/or mental energy to do that at the moment
•There are no sources
•I have seen the same post on my dash three times today and frankly, so has everyone else, adding to that is doing nothing
•Its a callout post still spreading around after the blogger who made the original offense has already apologized/done what they could to fix it
•its a harsh callout post against a mistake due to the misunderstandings of a 13-15 yr old, and I as an adult feel that this is a horrible way to do things
•It includes a phrase like: If you don’t reblog, you’re a terrible person
•IM PROUD OF THIS COMMUNITY FOR TRYING TO FIX THE CRAPPYNESS OF THE WORLD, BUT GUILTING PEOPLE INTO REBLOGGING YOUR POSTS WHEN SOME PEOPLE COME HERE FOR AN ESCAPE IS NOT HELPING
the “if you dont reblog this im judging you” is such a shitty guilt trip and it makes me not want to reblog it at all.
