Ok so I’ve been wanting to write about this for quite some time now but I postponed it each time. This topic is very important to me for a whole bunch of reasons. First because the Yennefer/Ciri relationship is a major thing in the Witcher books. It is wonderfully written, very emotional, it plays a major part in the plot, you could even say that it is the main plot at times. Then because I’m always very deeply touched by mother/children relationships when they are well-written, for very personal reasons which are irrelevant here. Finally because it is a controversial subject. The least I can say is that CDPR didn’t really do it justice and for that reason it is now something that divides the fandom. I’ve read all sort of things coming from people who haven’t read the books. Things like “Ciri doesn’t even consider Yennefer to be her mother”, “Yen uses her relationship with Geralt to get to Ciri and pretends she finally has a child”, “All Yen cares about is Ciri’s powers and heritage”. And wow, let’s say that for book readers this is heartbreaking. So I thought it was time for me to try to clear the air about this. There will be spoilers for all the books and I will take things in the chronological order so if you don’t want to be spoiled, you probably should stop reading this when you get to the point where you stopped in the books. Also I’ll use book quotes, the ones from Lady of the Lake will be from the fan translation however since this one has yet to be released in English and I doubt that all of you would understand if I used the french version. I also apologize for any English mistake since this is not my native language. And last thing before I start, a little warning : this will be a VERY long post (grab a cup of coffee, make sure you have a few hours and…. Well ok I’m kidding).

I made this game because I miss going outside and I also don’t have the scratch to buy a Switch to play Animal Crossing. So I figured I got some time, and other people are probably in the same boat, so I made Curio!
Curio is a relaxing solo game where you collect curios and oddities to fill out your amazing Curio Cabinet! Also I made it free cause nobody got that money right now!
It also comes with printable Field Logs so you can track your curios and make up stories of where you found them, and a blank curio cabinet you can customize!
Hopefully this can put a little levity and oddity into your lives at moment during this heavy time.

Ghost never did any thing wrong. In fact, Ghost was as kind as they could be.
Ghost talks about cairn in a pretty loving way, and ghost never seems to keep choices from cairn
Ghost also refers to cairn as "the kid" but that makes sense considering cairn didn't have a name then. But Ghost also always tries to give Cairn choice. Please note: even with all their dangerous movements, Ghost never tried to control Cairn
Ghost never questions Cairns brash movements and even seem to sympathise with him at some points.
Ghost never really blames Cairn for anything (other than lapis not coming back, but it should be noted he blames himself too) They just call him Annoying, Harsh, and rude in their final moments.
They don't hate eachother and I don't think they blame eachother either. They're just tired of having to share a consciousness. Both have such apposing attitudes, who could blame them?
Cairn not getting a response and going from that tired lazy eyed look to wide eyed realisation... Even though cairn says it now, I really don't think they hated eachother. I really don't think they wanted the other gone/shattered until Acuntmea told cairn that ghost stole all choice from them, when that clearly wasn't the case.
Both Cairn and Ghost tried to make it work, but Acuntmea, that bastard, took advantage of Cairns insecurities of choice and freewill and THAT is why Cairn wanted Ghost completely gone.
Cairn was convinced by Acuntmea that their relationship with ghost was controlling when ghost really did try to give Cairn just as much choice as possible. Cairn was just scared that they were still second pilot in their life. It should be noted that I don't think Cairn at any point in the manga has really bad mouthed Ghost.
