3. The names of any people in photographs, UNLESS they are candid photographs of strangers. (if the models do not feel comfortable giving their full names, a first name and a last-name-initial will work just fine.)

ANNOUNCEMENT

We will likely only be able to get started putting Issue 8 together sometime around the end of this month (due to busy schedules). Additionally, we have not quite received enough submissions just yet. So it seems logical for us to continue to take submissions until April 2nd (with leeway for differing time zones). Once again, work submitted for issue 8 does not have to fit any sort of theme or prompt. All work can be submitted to CassetteZine@gmail.com

Still Taking Submissions (due to a predicted delay in publication)

Hey, everyone!

We have recieved a decent number of works to feature, from artists from an impressive variety of places. However, because we know that we will unfortunately be delayed in compiling and publishing issue 8, we will still be taking submissions until march 8th. We generally feature everything that is sent to us (as long as it fits the guidelines, which it usually does anyhow).

Issue 8 does not have a theme requirement that pieces need to fit. So any work displaying any themes are welcome. (Keep in mind that certain “NSFW” things aren’t allowed by ISSUU, and it totally sucks. But as long as there isn’t any explicit nudity or sexual content, I think we’ll be fine!)

Physical Copies of Cassette Zine?

Hello, Lovelies. 

You may have noticed that the copies of the zine that are uploaded to ISSUU are not the best quality. We have to reduce the file size before uploading, because ISSUU won’t let us upload extremely large files unless we upgrade to one of the paid plans. However, we are considering having physical copies of the full resolution versions printed professionally and setting up an online store to sell them on. Anyone interested? Let us know!! <3

There is no theme for issue 8. That means you can send art with any subject matter this time (as long as it is VISUAL art). The other same basic guidelines as always still apply.  Deadline is WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10TH, 2016 (that gives you two whole months!!)

Just a friendly apology

I was delayed in compiling issue 7, because I am a college student, and last week, I had a lot of assignments that I needed to complete. However, I now have more time (and peace of mind), since certain pressing deadlines were met, so the zine will be out fairly soon! xx

Now accepting submissions for issue 7! The theme is “Haunting”. With halloween around the corner, the theme “Haunting” seemed fitting, but it doesn’t have to be halloween or horror related. So if you have any magazine-suitable visual art that embodies this theme in some way or another, we’d love to feature it!

Deadline Further Extended

We will be taking submissions until the end of next week (September 28 - October 4), as although we have received some lovely work to feature, we do not have enough to fill an entire zine. The theme is “Harmony”. Read our previous posts for more information. 

DEADLINE EXTENDED

We do not have enough submissions yet, so we are extending the deadline to WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30TH. Again, the theme is “Harmony”, and any magazine-suitable visual art pieces fitting this theme in any way (directly or indirectly) will be accepted. See our last post for details.

The theme for the sixth issue of Cassette Zine is “Harmony”. This refers to any sort of peace, calmness, coexistence, or balance. If you have any paintings, drawings, graphics, photographs, collages, or any other form of magazine-suitable visual art that fits this theme, you can send them to cassettezine@gmail.com. We’d love to feature your work! The deadline for submissions is Saturday, September 19th. Your work that you submit needs to fit the theme.
