A tiny dreamer

If a little dreaming is dangerous, the cure for it is not to dream less but to dream more, to dream all the time.

Asriel couldn’t really understand why anyone would want to head back into the underground, but he supposed it was still a home, or would be a home, to some. He supposed it wasn’t the worst place to vacation to, it had snow, water, “stars”.. maybe the humans were more curious about it than the monsters were, but he didn’t really care either way. Asriel loved being on the surface, even if it wasn’t “home”. He was born underground, but that didn’t mean he especially liked coming back down there! He cou;dn’t understand why his parents dragged him back down, but he supposed they had their own reasons for it. He just had to deal with it and try not to make too much of a fuss. He was glad there were at least other kids down there to play with or he might of died of bordem. After he managed to pull away from his parents, he tried to find another kids that might be out and about for him to go and play with. He wasn’t having much luck and was ready to head home and see if he could find something to do with his family, until he heard some rustling in the nearby bush. He didn’t expect any human or monster to be in there, but he was still curious none the less. Slowly creeping over towards the bush, Asriel reached out to push the leaves and branches back, gasping quietly when he saw the human nestled inside. “O-oh.. I’m sorry, were you- uh- did I disturb you?”

"Was I REALLY this adorably when I was a child?" He asks, leaning down, and ruffling the smol goat's hair.
