I started out as Meme City after Blake introduced me to this godforsaken website in 2010 with this piece of gold being my first post ever I switched to more music focus in 2011 while still letting the angsty neckbeard within shine through. That was also the year I changed my url to what I’m using now. While the title of the announcement makes me cringe, the heart behind the name is still the same. There’s the hyper angst of my first breakup that went on for way too long Around 2013 I went all in on the aesthetic vibe that I’ve been working to archive ever since I haven’t posted anything since October 4th, and I haven’t really posted anything that’s actually mine since 19 February, which really doesn’t count, so I guess my last real post was a year ago this week when I formally introduced my blog to my wife.

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So there’s the anthology of my blog. I don’t get enjoyment from posting anymore. I think I’ve accurately recorded my aesthetic and there isn’t much to add to that. I don’t feel like switching things up to a different style of blog so I I’m going to let it rest.

I’ll stick around since it’s cool to creep on some old friends, I’ll check my inbox from time to time, but I am officially retiring from contributing to this website.

Thanks to the mutuals that have stuck around over the years, and the lurkers that have been creeping

it’s been real, alex

“One tiny Hobbit against all the evil the world could muster. A sane being would have given up, but Samwise burned with a magnificent madness, a glowing obsession to surmount every obstacle, to find Frodo, destroy the Ring, and cleanse Middle Earth of its festering malignancy. He knew he would try again. Fail, perhaps. And try once more. A thousand, thousand times if need be, but he would not give up the quest.” - J.R.R. Tolkien

Last night we camped right at treeline between Durango and Ouray several miles up a forest road. We made popcorn on our camp stove and had a movie night with this as our backdrop. Car life is not bad, guys.
