I had an utterly crap day yesterday so I drew our vampire family happy and cozy because you know what, why not?
I started playing a Vampire the Masquerade campaign with my wife and some friends and immediately made Team Dad. Gus is an old Ventrue who adopted an orphaned Nosferatu - Kristofer - and he loves his lizard son very much

This is so delightful
Art by Michael Kerbow "The golden Oak King, who is the light twin, rules from midwinter to midsummer. The darksome Holly King rules the dark half of the year from Midsummer to Midwinter."
It is once again time to share my favourite christmas card: Big dommy she-krampus, an unsuspecting victim and the dude in her basket who is delighted to be here and is already planning how he's going to make it to the "naughty" list again next year
She’s like Lady Dimitrescu for the early 20th Century.
Winged Bull, based on the Jagdeep Rajput shot that is a contenter for the the 2022 Wildlife Photography awards. It's such a fun shot and was fun to turn into a creature.
I think his name is Undeterred By Marigolds, and he likes fresh vegetables, especially when someone else so kindly grew them for him :)
I love them 🥹
I finally watched all of The Sopranos, and you could pretty easily have a Sopranos AU for Star Wars-

Fingers. Fingers. I think this is the coolest angel design I've seen in a while? Perfect amounts of body horror/symbolism. Regardless, season 2 of Dead End Paranormal Park was so good, such a fun show overall. Please give it a watch!
Today is the last day to view my solo show “Still” at Nucleus Portland!
My artist’s statement: “Still” is a reflection on feeling stuck in place and stuck in time. It is about coping in the face of an anxious present and an unpredictable future—“I’m still here”—and frustration at a lack of progress—“I’m still here?” It is about finding ways to grow and adapt despite being stuck in a seemingly endless cycle. It is also an acknowledgement of the things we keep close and the things we hide away in order to keep going.
Thank you so much to the lovely people at Nucleus Portland for the opportunity to exhibit a new body of work, and thanks to everyone who has taken the time to view the work, either in person or by following me here. Your kind words and support mean a lot to me. It’s always amazing to be able to feel a connection to others through art, so thanks for connecting!

I read the Star Wars: Tarkin novel recently and then fell down the dark rabbit hole of shipping these space fascists together
Forgive me, I just needed to get this out of my system 🤣
Trying out new-to-me colors from Boulder Colors and I had such a fun time with the shadows
Trying to level up my observational painting. The room was dark, the outside had bright sunlight, but dark dark clouds in the distance. It's hard to get the same range of values that your eyes can pick up.
James Gurney's YouTube channel is my current favorite for his Plein air painting.
Someone asked about what colors I used on this but it ended up with a cool shot of my watercolor pan for those following along at home

Oh boy. It’s been a while since I posted on here, huh? Unfortunately, I think the wind got knocked out of my sails more than I realized after @exit421 died, and the Tumblr exodus didn’t help much.
