Tonight my first ever stand up comedy special is released. I’m dropping it for free on my YouTube channel, I just wanted as many people to be able to see it as possible not behind a paywall.

Every night the baby sleeps well for the first 3-4 hours but from 1:30 onwards it’s a free for all. Might go back to sleep, might just fuck about until it’s light outside and force me to just crack on and start the day. In the last 48 hours I reckon I’ve slept for about 7 in total.
Baby has decided sleep is not his thing and that means it’s not my thing any more either :(

We are making good progress with breastfeeding! It’s been such a nightmare but I can definitely say we’re combination feeding now rather than mostly formula with little bits of breast milk here and there. Hopefully a few more weeks and we’ll be all boob!
This isn’t ideological for me. I know breast milk is technically better for babies but I also know plenty of people are exclusively formula fed including me and we’re all fine.
Formula is a fucking pain. Costs a fortune. Can’t make it up in advance. Pre made stuff costs more. Have to wash and sterilise bottles every use. Have to freshly boil water to make up a bottle or buy an expensive machine that keeps water at 70 degrees and when it’s made you have to wait for it to cool before the baby can drink it. You can’t go out without a tonne of stuff just for feeding, even though you already have to have stuff for changing nappies and clean outfits and stuff. Formula also causes more gas which is super painful for the baby. The plan is to only need my body to feed my baby and all I’ll need to take out with me is my boobs and a muslin and the changing stuff and eventually toys and snacks and stuff.
