Update

Hi, Tumblr crew: 

 I’m less present here nowadays, as I’ve realised I only have the concentration and willpower for one social media platform. I’m intending to answer a small number of questions after A Day of Fallen Night comes out, then permanently close my inbox.

Most of my past answers will be left up for now, so you can browse through at your leisure. I’ve answered hundreds over the years and I hope you enjoy reading them.

Guess who just got their copy of @sshannonauthor TBS the Tenth Anniversary edition? (Me!)

I can't wait to dive into this world as I did for the first time six years ago. I get to see my OTP, Paige and Warden for the first time again which is insane. I can't believe we even get that chance so thank you Samantha, truly. This is essentially my version of early Christmas. (And now that I'm older I can actually bust out some champagne for the occasion 😂)

The Bone Season: 10th Anniversary Edition

A new season begins. 

The 10th Anniversary Edition of my debut, The Bone Season, is coming on 22 August 2023. 

The beginning of the series, revised and enriched with new maps, new illustrations, new scenes and dialogue, and most importantly, ten years’ more experience. 

This extraordinary cover was designed by Carmen R. Balit and illustrated by Ivan Belikov, with art direction by David Mann.

The prequel in the Roots of Chaos series which I absolutely loved. An epic women-centric, queer, sweeping fantasy story that takes place in a Queendom (not a kingdom) with dragons, intrigue, romance, magic and a battle for the ages. Glorian Shieldheart is my favorite character and I could not help but draw her in her armor.
