Slowly, but surely, the caped nerd creeps up behind the other cape-less nerd. He could already predict the other’s reaction, despite being from a alternate universe, but there wasn’t much harm in testing out his little theory.

❝ Long time no see other me. ❞

Honestly, that dimension machine was so dusty, it could have been just the sheer amount of dust that had stopped it working in the first place. Not that Mandark hadn’t tried fixing it, just... something hadn’t quite clicked. But the last thing he expected was to hear that similar voice again.

“ Can I even begin to apologize? It was my fault I never came back to your world to see you. ”

Dexter raised a brow curiously.

"… Not for a while it hasn’t been. ” The ginger then stepped forward, adjusting his glasses.

"….. Hey, did you suddenly become shorter?”

Dexter shook his head. Boy, maybe he had had his head in the lab fumes for a bit too long.

" Anyways, I needed to ask you. Have the fibers settled completely into their respective fabrics yet? If not we’ll need to configure a way to speed up the process.

Global takeover is nearly upon us afterall.”

" Dexter,                 did you have your mind control ray backfire on you again? I've always been this height. "

Mandark tilted his neon head in a little pondering confusion. What was up with him this Halloween?

" What fibers are you talking about? And I thought I was watching too much Kill La Kill.  However what's this global takeover? You have me interested. "

Is it correct to state that the primary differences between a true villain and a petty bungler not worth the name are professionalism, a commitment to excellence, and a drive towards making the world a better place (say, by destroying an uppity hero)?

Avatar

Professional villains adhere to a series of traditions and rules — for example: libraries, bookstores, and diners are neutral territory… safe zones, without exception. Ever.

Professionals of all sides speak to a higher calling, a purpose — sometimes to rule the world, other times to destroy it.

Thugs… burglars… thieves… no purpose. Self satisfaction, only. No care for tradition.
