Ragged Point Inn - a very cool resort off of Highway 1 at the base of Los Padres National Forest. Had THE most amazing tri-tip bbq sandwich for lunch before driving into some of THE most picturesque scenery in the state of California.
Source of inspiration for the site - enjoy!
Making my way north to the Bay Area to start back to work after Spring Break. At San Luis Obispo, I decided to hop on Highway 1 and catch some of the rare, scenic route of the state. Well worth the decision to "take the road less traveled".
The same vista as the previous photo.
View of our walk around noon on our first full day in Santa Barbara. Ellie dug the ocean breeze in her face - so does dad! Rain comes in tonight, although I'm sure the view is just as dramatic.
The back yard off of the patio at our own home stay in Santa Barbara. Pacific ocean down below.
With the family Jeep packed to the brim, we decide to pull off at a Rest Stop outside of Atascadero, CA on southbound US 101 to walk through the grass on our bare feet. Love the concept of the Rest Stop; it seems so antiquated in our world today. But when you check out the grin on Ellie and Angela, I kind of remember why we stop for a rest.
This is our little room for the next 3 weeks.
Cliff drive residence during Angela's Residency at Opera Santa Barbara. Reminds me of the album cover Hotel California by the Eagles.
