Koschei took in a sharp breath, seeing his mate’s reaction. “Your past could help him. I think talking about what you…….what we went through…….it might…..help them.”
Thet looked over at him his eyes swimming with unshed tears.
Koschei pulled him into a hug, unable to take that look in his bonded’s eyes. “Bree and I grieve one way, you and Kaden another, but just…….he needs to know it’s safe to do that.”
He nodded hugging back putting his face in his mates neck as he tried to calm down.
Koschei held him, rubbing his back softly.
“I haven’t cried over them for five years…and now it’s like I’m grieving all over again.” He said clinging to his mate.
“I know, I know…..” He kissed his temple. “I don’t think you ever really get over something like that, but bottling it up doesn’t do you any good either.”
“I know I know I just…I don’t want to think about them.” He replied giving a sob.
Koschei couldn’t help stiffening a little, he thought of them almost every day, he couldn’t imagine not thinking about them.
“That came out wrong…I meant that I want to honor them and not cry over them anymore…I want to raise our kids like we would have raised the ones we lost.” Theta backtracks immediately regretting what he had said before.
He bit his lip, holding his tongue for now, wanting to believe that was what his mate meant but having doubts.
