may 2023 be an excellent year for everyone and may it also be another year of Richard Armitage not knowing about us on tumblr 🙏

RA knows of tumblr for a long, long time so... guess he’s checking here like he’s doing on other SM.

Thanks you for identifying many books! RA played Delio in The Duchess of Malfi with RSC in 2000.  Also on the shelves: Proctor’s handcuffs, pics of his mother, a white boar, another Shakespeare on third shelf. Framed Proctor’s tore confession placed against the Scottish curtain. Hobbit hardcover boos as tray for the cupcake.  Anything more? Can someone find other clues?

It pains me that almost all of us have some really insightful & interesting questions we'd love to ask Richard, but whenever he does an interview we get almost the same things replicated in every publication along with the same questions by interviewers who clearly haven't read any of his interviews in the past year & can't come up with anything else to ask

I mean, how many times have we heard him have to talk about "yes, Chekov was weirdly predictive & well-timed for the current pandemic" this past year & 1/2?

How many times have we heard "tell us what it was like to play a dwarf in The Hobbit when you're actually really tall?"

How many times have we heard him have to talk about the water-boarding?

It's just such a wasted opportunity & so boring (I imagine for him, especially). Up your game, reporters
