Now Rewatching - Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea

This show is goofy as hell but I love it. Plus all the actors have great chemistry together and that is always a winner for me.

One thing I particularly love about Voyage is the cast consistency.

With one exception due to an actor's death, we see the same familiar faces through all 4 seasons - from lead to supporting to the non-speaking background crew.

I find that very comforting.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea have some interesting parallels.

They premiered within 8 days of each other in 1964 and ran until 1968.

Both had great black & white first seasons - Voyage even had a few UNCLE-like espionage episodes.

Both went to color in their second season and both unfortunately started to turn campy - really hitting bottom (no pun intended) in their third season.

U.N.C.L.E. tried to course-correct in Season 4 while Voyage doubled down - but both ended in early 1968.

And both are still entertaining 60 years later!
