                       Since Alex, there had only been Larry, and he had                        been — well, he’d been nothing compared to the love                        of her life. He was a distraction; he was a chance at                        a normal life her parents would approve of. He was                        boring and nothing like the woman she loved; Larry                        had been a convenience. Once upon a time, she may                        have said she loved him, but she really didn’t. 

                            ❝ We’re inevitable. I just — I want you, Al.  ❞

                       Being out here in the open still wasn’t safe, but she                        couldn’t bring herself to care; even if a CO came by                        now, what would it matter? She had Alex to herself                        again, and that was everything. All she wanted was                        to make the moment last. Nothing else mattered.

Piper had a hold on          Alex, a tight grip never allowing her to be free,          whether Piper was aware of this was another           matter entirely. Their kiss had broken. The ex          lovers staring longingly into each other's eyes,          delving deeper into their souls. So deep they          could barely hear the oncoming footsteps just          around the corner.
