yeah that’s exactly what i mean, i don’t know about shindong how talented he’s in singing, but hyukjae has a great voice for singing, his voice has never been bad, like old sukiras where they sang live showed he had potential in him, maybe not to be part of the singer line, but holy shit he’s average enough to put that talent to use, but instead sm makes him “rap” and it’s such a waste. i mean maybe he wants to do it but it doesn’t change the fact that what he does is not rapping, is talking slightly faster than average with a menacing tone in songs that don’t really need that input, so like, he could try to sing in some songs and not rap. i don’t get it, rap breaks normally fuck up the song just as dubstep breaks do, especially if it doesn’t fit and is badly done; to make things worse sm normally just puts it there as a filler that doesn’t coordinate well with the flow, and it just ruins a perfectly neat song showcasing and highlighting the fact that they are bad at rapping instead of masking it with the flow and making it sound pieced together. if your idol can’t sing don’t make him talk fast in songs, at least train them into making rapping sound like… rapping. in the song industry it should be like unless you can rap, don’t rap, as the same they do with if you can’t sing don’t sing motto they have going on, but whatever i digress

i actually did, i think it was fresh and the songs were really diversed, i still haven’t listened to the whole album 100% because i’ve been kinda busy, but i went through my itunes list of it listening a little of everything, and i definetely feel like it’s okay (maybe too ballad-y for me). mamacita was pretty okay and i really enjoyed it, but the rap fit like a sore thumb and destroyed the song for me, so i haven’t been replaying it much because the “”“rap”“” fits so bad that it makes me uncomfrotable. sm needs to stop pretending hyukjae and shindong can rap, like they should at least with hyukjae, who has shown a relatively good singing voice recently, train him in singing so rap breaks stop being a thing just because sm thinks he can’t sing and makes him rap or whatever they do is :/ now that we are over dubstep breaks they should just take the next step already christ.

(also it would have been neat since they are exaggerating spanish things to have included some spanish lines instead of only putting exaggerated sterotypes in the mv and still put english lines, because you know, it would have balanced the fact that they are trying to be “spanish” on the mv, but i digress)
