He stepped out of the crowd, looking haggard and dishevelled. In one hand he held a fan that'd clearly come from a brothel; he'd clearly come from a brothel, his clothes in disarray. He was older than her, and wearing only one geta, the strap snapped and base dragging as he sluggishly stepped forward towards her from out of the crowd. Nobody stopped him, because even in the dark of the night, the stark sky blue of his Shinsengumi haori was unmistakable, which meant he was not to be fucked with, or he'd fuck back. He was gripping the hilt of his sword, clearly ready and willing to fight, even as intoxicated as he was. "Ya okay, miko-chan? Ya look like a wreck."

I needed to just call it a day on this. Some time ago, I stumbled across this post, was taken with the idea, and decided to try and design it, in my own humble way. I want to give them full credit for the idea, it's the best concept for his irezumi that I've come across, truly fitting and interesting. Thank you @rggtattoos for filling in a blank spot in my imagination with something really special.

Fun fact: many public libraries now have 3D printers that you can pay to use! We charge per gram of filament so something like this would probably be less than $10! Just a thought for anyone who wants 3D printed stuff w/o having to buy a several hundred dollar machine
