I am unfortunately quite unwell again, but here are some of the things keeping me light/afloat. I don’t exist here (or anywhere) but hope everyone who does is OK. I may use this personal space (sporadically) as a diary during my difficult time in the hopes of it being somewhat therapeutic for me.

I know I don’t post here, but I really am hoping everyone is safe in these uncertain times and feeling OK in regards to this spreading virus. I felt a bit compelled to write this today because as someone who super recently entered ED recovery I’m finding this self isolating very very difficult for my mental/physical health. So please, if you’re in the same boat and feel like you’re failing or that the need to stay inside (amongst so many other factors) has thrown a wrench in your recovery, know that you’re not alone. I’m taking each day as it comes and trying to be at least a little kind to myself and I think that’s all I can do at this moment in time. Sending my love.

This is a long post, I may make it private soon but I felt the need to write this today, for what reason I don’t fully understand still. But I’m glad I did, if anyone reads this, happy new year.

Seventh Heaven: This new favourite editorial of mine titled ‘Moon River’ is both mystically sweet and slightly galactic in shots by photographer Bryan Huynh that feature models cloud 9 seemingly living in some celestial high sky, while wearing nothing other than Chanel Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2017 (first shot features a silver sequinned gown finished with thousands of feathers, and the second is a pale pink gown with a slightly glittery flower trim) for the S/S17 issue of Lula Magazine. via.

Little Dressmaker: Major Marie Antoinette feels at the Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2007 collection by John Galliano, which was extra special due to it celebrating the 60th anniversary of the forever iconic fashion house, I felt it was a true homage to Dior’s past and everything I love about the brand - art, theatrics, classic (yet) next level silhouettes, pure creativity, and a feminine elegance. While the palette was eclectic but fitting with colors of emerald green, peach, midnight blue, muted purple and yellow-orange gradients, one of my favourite pieces was this ultra light pink corseted dress with billowing ruffles, oversized Disney princess sleeves and jewels draped over the bodice, while my other favourite was this baby blue dress with matching satin jacket ribboned with soft white and detailed with flower embroidery, both pieces giving a mix of renaissance & pre-raphaelite vibes. via.

City Of Angels: Lana Del Rey is a vision wearing a flower appliqué Miu Miu S/S 17 bikini top with added glamour surrounded by a purple-pink tone feathered jacket and giant jewels on one of her covers by photographer Charlotte Wales for the Dazed Summer 2017 (releasing April 20th) issue where LDR features in an equally fantastic editorial along with a special feature interview by Courtney Love to promote Lana’s upcoming album ‘Lust For Life’. via.

Bewitching Hour: Some of my favorite shoes to come from Marc Jacobs... ever! These were from his Fall/Winter 2016 collection and featured a variety of these semi gothic style mega platforms (which were reported to have taken much walking practice pre-show) in shades of mostly classic black, but also dark muted lilac, both hot and dusty pink, as well as an off white. These colours and this style with a mix of textures (shiny leathers, suede, snakeskin) created a dark playfulness and a supernatural sense adding to the theatrics of MJ’s show - a trait of his which I have forever admired. via.

House Of Mirrors: Daria Strokous wears a pale pink gown overflowing with clouds of fabric cinched with a metal gold detailed leaf belt from the Giambattista Valli Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2013 collection (a favourite of mine) in the editorial ‘Garden of Earthly Delights’ in an optical illusion type shot from photographer Emma Summerton for Vogue China Collections special edition issue.

Fur The Ages: Fancy fur in the form of purses in hues of soft baby blue swirled with muted bubblegum finished with a chain strap at Versace Fall/Winter 2016 and an oversized frosty barely there pink clasp clutch at Alexander McQueen Fall/Winter 2016. via.

Modern Muse: Bella Hadid wears a black velvet evening dress with a high bow belt and silk ruffle detailing from Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2016 along with a classically chic Christian Dior pink fur coat in a shot by photographer Georges Antoni for the editorial titled ‘Bella Of The Ball’ where it was noted by writer Clare Maclean how ‘once known as ''the other Hadid sister'', she's now the hottest name in modelling - just ask Dior, Givenchy, and her 4.8 million Instagram followers‘ in her interview which celebrated her cover and profile for Harper’s Bazaar Australia August 2016. via.
