It's easy to forget that where you live is a unique place unlike any other on Earth. I take for granted the things I see and hear every day because they are familiar to me, but I am learning to slow down and appreciate the nuances and subtleties of my environment because they are special. Sometimes you have to leave home and return to realize that. Listening, and being genuinely fascinated with what I hear, is a skill I'm excited to sharpen.

One of my favorite parts of the story is when the survivors find a camera in the plane wreckage and they take photos of themselves, hoping that after they die, the camera might someday be discovered and people will know what happened to them. This track is how I imagine that part of the story.

Available now on iTunes, Spotify, etc. If you don't know the story this is based upon, watch the documentary "I Am Alive: Surviving The Andes Plane Crash" which is what inspired me to create this score. The illustration by @james.r.eads.art is absolutely brilliant and it's already hanging on my wall with the others in the collection. Get a limited print of your own at ayoungscores.com. Thanks for the love and support as always! Enjoy.

One of my favorite things about instrumental music is that the listener is encouraged to use his or her imagination. Man, I've never been good at anything in life but the one thing I'm awesome at is using my imagination, which means instrumental music is my jam. There's nothing better than closing my eyes and doing all kinds of stuff, going all sorts of places, and whatever I'm listening to is my soundtrack. I'm making 11 instrumental albums this year for kids like me, and now you can take one small step for man, you can survive the Titanic, you can fly the Spirit of St. Louis, become the first person to summit Everest and take back Normandy for the Allies. Thanks for your tremendous support! I'm so excited for what the future will hold. Enjoy! Be a kid. Imagine.
