This is why representation matters and why Candice remains my favourite. That little girl’s life has been impacted, no limitations on her dreams (I hope). May nothing but good thing come Candice’s way, she has been such a beacon of unless possibilities through her work on The Flash. I really hope she gets great story lines for next season, I’m so looking forward to all that she does in her career and more.  And thank you to The Flash family for recognizing heart as an important quality a show can have.

finished commission for nightingales of her and ottery’s characters Koji and Yvanna!

thank you so much, May, for the opportunity to draw this fantastic pair – after being tapped to draw the neotp, i feel i’ve finally arrived! not only are your characters irresistible, but the lovely web shrine you’ve set up to showcase all the art surrounding them (through your generous ongoing patronage of fellow artists), as well as your encouragement of your commissioners’ creativity and personal interpretations, is all truly stellar. everyone should be so lucky as to work with patrons like you! i hope you enjoy this illustration as much as i enjoyed making it! <3

for all the folks at home – want your own commission? i’m still open! check out this post for all the details!

“human shrek” sounds like something you’d find on deviantart but? no? the concept originated in a movie. that is a canon concept. shrek becoming a human was a significant plot point in the second movie. an actual plot point. conflict was created.

My piece for the Fire Emblem zine I helped McKay with!!!

I love drawing scenes where there’s a lot of character interaction or a little story behind it, and I really love the children characters from Awakening, so I decided to do a cute little modern spin on it. Olivia as a dance teacher doing some after-school dance program came to mind and I just rolled with it. (The kids at the end are older to me, in my mind :P hence why they’re sitting out.)

Hope you enjoy! This was fun to do, although I ran outta steam. Special thanks to Scott for helping with finishing touches.
