Your art is so amazing ;-; I can't ask stuff on your art tumblr since I don't have an account, so I have to on here. Anyway, quick question: How do you draw and line up faces so nicely? Like make the eyes and hair look normal on the head. (Teach me how to phoenix ;-;)
Hello! Thank you so much! I’ll try my best to help you out ^^;; Altho these are not the “rules” (since there are no rules in art, just techniques) so aaa take these with a grain of salt.
Ok so for the faces, just use the basic circle + cross! it’s a useful guide to know where to line up the features and also the perspective of the face!
For the hair, use the circle as a guide to where the hair should be. but don’t strictly follow through the lines to draw on the hair.
Hair has volume so remember it always kinda floofs on the head. i mean it’s not directly connected on the skull right? so draw it a little farther away from your guide. It’s just a guide after all.
For Phoenix – You know, even I’M not sure how to draw him. But let me tell you how big of a help references are! (honestly i’ve been drawing him for 2 years now and i’m still so lost on how to draw him without a reference)

I hope I’ve somehow helped you!! (I really can’t help with phoenix, because i’m clueless with how to draw this man myself CRIES but just use references then from there see how its easiest to draw him. you’ll eventually incorporate your style into the character)
i mean, when you look at me you wouldn’t think that i’m anything but a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky joker. but that isn’t the real me. behind all the quips and laughs, i’m a mess of hang-ups. i’ve always felt inferior to you guys. i’m not royalty and i’m not strong. i’m nothing, really.
i feel like this needs to be said: you literally can’t ask or expect anyone to drop everything for you and operate under your terms at all times. you can’t expect people to always be there for you and always choose you in any given ultimatum. sacrifice cannot be expected or asked for, it has to be freely given. and just because someone loves you, that doesn’t mean everything they do will be done with you in mind. if you have a problem with that, then you are the problem.

the amount of people in the tags saying this is ignorant and condescending towards mentally ill people is honestly astounding. as a mentally ill person, i recognize being mentally ill is not an excuse to be abusive; and yes, that’s exactly what this is. it’s abusive to expect other people to dedicate their lives to you.
