Meeting Scarlett St. Clair was so much fun! A dream come true šŸ˜šŸ–¤ this woman is such an icon as an author. The worlds and characters sheā€™s created have left such an impression with me. And Iā€™m so glad I could make her laugh today by telling her my bestieā€™s interpretation of Hades in ā€œA Touch of Darknessā€ šŸ¤£ hope one day we can rub elbows as fellow writers. Iā€™m glad you loved my nails and my outfit ā¤ļø ā€¢ ā€¢ ā€¢ #authorscarlettstclair #scarlettstclair #author #meetandgreet #barnesandnoble #chicago #fun #writer #writing #atod #atouchofdarkness #kingofbattleandblood #whenstarscomeout #icon #love #amazing (at Barnes & Noble) https://www.instagram.com/p/ChN_SSFMjeC/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Mankind was given a chance to change. And we didnā€™t. And so the Four Horsemen arrived to bring about the end. The first to ride on his white steed was Pestilence. The Conquerer, the spreader of plague says we cannot be saved.

I did enjoy Pestilence by Laura Thalassa! Our horseman gives some serious himbo energy lol itā€™s like Drax the Destroyer (guardians of the galaxies) meets Old Testament.

Iā€™m still trying to find the rest of these original covers. I have War and Famine on their way from Australia. If anyone finds Death in the original cover, let a girl know.

The Never After series by Emily McIntire is one of my favorites. Twisted takes on a whole new world of the villain gets the girl in a true slow burn, age gap tale. Itā€™s so very fun seeing all your favorite stories from your childhood get become so dark and delicious.

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

I walked into Barnes & Noble to see that Prince Hamlet was the cashier and he was trying to sell his autobiography in play form, Hamlet. He didnā€™t know who Shakespeare is.
