Do you still update things for flight rising? I just noticed you hadn't posted anything on that blog in a little while and didn't want to bug you if you're not currently active there! Hope things are well with you~!

Yeah haven't been updating but i'm hoping to be active again soooonish? Idk, it's been and is still a busy year. Went back to uni, moved to another state, started t, etc etc.

I'm currently working on refactoring the breeding cards to be easier to update, so if nothing else in the future i'll be able to put new genes in faster instead of the snowballing tech-debt nonsense going on now. The current system is an "easy to update one or two genes but doesn't scale well" kind of thing which is not great for new ancients, nvm any kind of backlog. New system is gonna be simple enough i can add a dozen genes as easily as one, but i gotta finish actually coding it first.

pov you buy something from joxar, start to leave, and then "oh wait i didn't grab this month's spare inventory chest yet" and when you turn back he's in a totally different outfit and y'all just have to be like "…are there……… two of you or did you change *that* quickly"

The tone of the shading used also changes! Thundercrack Jox has blue shading, regular jox has a more neutral hue shading it looks like! Really threw me off because I thought for a moment that the right one was more purple with redder wings and was like omg it’s Joxar and his Twin, Joxar2

"Look i'm just not satisfied with this Lightning Aura; it's too sparky and my hatchling almost got ELECTROCUTED on this, i demand to talk to your manager."

"*sigh* He's gonna tell you the same thing, but fine, i'll get him. *drops behind counter, pops up three seconds later in a different vest* Yes ma'am, what seems to be the problem?"

"What kind of stunt is this, you're clearly the same dragon!"

"Uuhhh *kicks light switch under the counter; several bulbs of varying colors flick off while several of other colors flick on* Ma'am i acknowledge my handsome employee and i do bear a striking resemblance to each other but i assure you, we are actually subtly different colors. Hard to tell when we're not next to each other but coincidentally he just went on break. Anyway you were saying something about your infant playing with a product clearly labeled as being for ages six and up?"

Crim Data Collection Effort

Hey guys! I’ve decided that I’m going to put together a guide listing all of the items Crim will ask for and at what price (because i’m tired of trying to figure out if an item will sell for more to Crim or on the AH)

It’ll go a lot faster, though, if I could get some help! I made a little google form to collect data. Its very simple, just name the items she asks for and at what price. If anyone has some free time would you mind maybe filling it out? I’ll link in the reblogs

Here is the form!

Idk about items but i can possibly save effort on price: it's double the item's hoardsell price, or 500t if the hoardsell is less than 250.

(my strategy is just straight-up giving her anything she asks for at 500t except runestones, which is almost definitely not the most financially profitable method but is a decent too-lazy-to-check-prices method)

oh shit i'm still physically capable of drawing, feat. Sciatch rock-climbing in search of basilisks

It's been way too long since i actually Finished an art piece and i've maybe lost my ability to differentiate between "legit good, but simple style" and "bad, but simple enough for the worst mistakes to blend in" but i did a thing so imma take the win either way

anyway, i'm on day two of ADHD meds and uh *gestures* yeah, if we count sketches as well i've done more art in the past forty-eight hours than the entire past few years.

so if anyone needs me imma be quietly marveling at the ridiculous number of people who are morally opposed to ADHD meds because they confused medication with, idk, vampirism and think if you take meds you lose your soul and all creativity along with it.

increasingly tempted to hatch an egg today not even because i think i'd get lucky enough to land 77777777 but because i'm looking at a bunch of other fresh dragons and some of them are dang nice, feels weird to spend so much time like "*gasp* OH you're BEAUTIFUL, anyway moving on."

related fr needs a mechanism for letting us look at dragons we've starred because i'm uh never gonna see any of these dragons again

concept: aberration seeing an emperor, having to get dragged away by everyone who Knows What That Thing Is because

a) "oh! it's one of Us!" "it absolutely is not" b) "smells like wyrmwound -> wyrmwound makes us stronger -> imma fight it." "it smells like death because it's four dead dragons in a trenchcoat and you will also be dead if you fight it." c) generally taking great personal offence because we are ANCIENT and thus have the patent on multi-headed fusing abomination, thank you??? d) generally taking great personal interest because oh, fascinating, we didn't realize lightmomma's children also had soup. "they don't, imperials just kinda go literal five-headed zombie if enough of them die close together." "wat."

you're right and you should say it but either 'wake' is a typo, you and i have very different interpretations of the word 'wake', or we have the same interpretation of the word 'wake' and you just? dropped the implication of an imperial/emperor wake in the tags? with no further explanation? smh indeed.

(Tippling hod-carrier Timperial Finnegan rises from the bed » the gathered mourners lose their collective shit and Shillelagh law is interpreted as beating him into the grave they all thought he was going to anyway. "D'anam ón diabhal, d'ye think I'm dead????" has a very different vibe in Imperial versions of Finnegan's Wake: "Yes, we did, and now we're going to make sure you stay that way.")

I just used the name of the location in the game! English isn't my native language but as far as I can tell it's correct

Yeah you're correct, my whole Irish-American pub-song-corrupted brain just saw Emperor's Wake and went straight to Finnegan's Wake, a song about a guy rising from the dead at his own wake ("wake" in that context using the "gathering of people in the presence of the body of a deceased person in order to honor the person and console one another" definition)

and i was so overwhelmed by the idea of a bunch of Imperial mourners saying "haha no you don't????" that for a second there i lived in a world where official FR placenames don't exist.

Oh that makes MUCH more sense, i just never actually look at the map past Lightning borders so my knowledge of Sunbeam geography is "uh i think it's kinda close to shadow maybe"

…but also, if there's any kind of magic raising Imperial bodies (as opposed to "Emperors only happen if the bodies basically get dumped on top of each other") they absolutely have wakes and Timperial Finnegan is just gonna be a permanent headcanon for me now

wait wrong blog aGAIN
