So I’ve been going through @boschlowtxt’s blog this past week because if I can’t get my Skarlow fix I may as well get my sapphic Willow fix, and she had this idea that I adored where since headscapes reflect personalities of Witches, Boscha’s is the opposite of Willow’s in that it’s a fire and lava filled hellscape with one small garden that represents the humanity Boscha keeps hidden from the world. Read that here, I just didn’t wanna reblog it cause it felt weird since I would be directly taking her Boschalow post and trying to make it Skarlow. But still wanted to give her credit.
Anyway, Skara’s mindscape is actually a giant carnival. She’s loved them since she was in the Baby Class, so she now has one she can visit whenever she wants! It’s filled with a bunch of rides and games, each one based on key memories from Skara’s life. The Test of Strength for when she met Boscha, the Cricket Carousel for when she got her Palisman, the Spinning Flowers ride for when she first asked out Willow. Stuff like that.
But Inner Skara often stays inside the Hall of Mirrors. It’s not one specific memory, but actually the representation of her fractured sense of self. All the different people she’s been throughout her life: Boscha’s best friend, a lowly bully, a team strategist, Willow’s girlfriend. All of Skara’s bits and pieces can be seen here, each in their own mirror, Even though they seem to talk to her independently, Inner Skara knows that they’re all just reflections of her. Whether they’re the fun, cute, and awesome parts she wants to embrace, or the parts Skara wants to push away, she knows, deep down, that they’re all her. Warts and all, the Hall of Mirrors is the manifestation of Skara facing herself. She just hopes one day she can face all the worst parts and forgive herself for the Witch she used to be.
