- Their ridiculously similar and intersecting histories: like they were literally both used as dehumanized weapons for most of their lives. They BOTH had to be desensitized to such great degrees, making them both killing machines. ***AKA Natasha is to the Black Widow program what Bucky is to the Winter Soldier program

- If the AMAZINGLY EPIC storyline that exists in the comics will be brought to life, that means gems like sparring scenes and badass tag teaming and Spy Romance

- Both currently have a serious disconnect with their own identity. Natasha is almost there, especially in Civil War, but she’s still struggling to define herself outside her work and outside of her being a tool for S.H.I.E.L.D. And similarly Bucky is still trying to seperate himself from the soldier.

- They can understand each other more than most others - they both have killed SO MUCH and want redemptiom, to wipe out the red and to have their agency back

- BUCKY FREAKING LIKES RED HEADS
