I hear pro-life people go on about how "all life is precious". Let me put somethings in perspective. Typically abortions are performed before the 12th week of pregnancy. Within the first 49 days, it can be done without surgery. The other option is surgical abortions. You can start hearing a heartbeat at around 10 weeks. And abortions during the 2nd and 3rd trimesters are rare and only done in medical emergencies. This means that many abortions are done before there is even a heartbeat. It is literally a bunch of cells. By saying that this bunch of cells is alive and should be saved, why stop there? Bacteria is also cells that live. Yet we use antibacterial products everyday. We use cleaning products to kill them. But on the flip side, there's probiotics with active cultures. These are good and allowed to live and thrive. So by using the "all life is precious", you're saying that we should stop killing germs because they're alive. We should allow ourselves to become sick, right? I mean, they're living cells, just like a fetus. And they both can inhabit a human body. My point is... Stop saying "all life is precious" to push your pro-life ideals. A bundle of cells isn't the same as a baby, no matter how hard you try to push it on everyone else.
