Undertaking an adventure called Life. After previously losing 60 pounds, and regaining it all back and then some, I am ready to find the happy woman I was 3 years ago.  I have faith that if I trust the process, I can succeed again.

Best laid plans and all that.

Did not get to take back my hour from Sunday, and actually had to work more hours on Monday.

Last workout, I did some woodchoppers, and messed up my shoulder in my enthusiasm. So, I've been babying that, and being a side sleeper doesn't help.

It's been a crazy stressful week at work. And yesterday I just needed to decompress and did some stretching at home, and took Shooby out for a walk, to assess the damage after our big windstorm on Friday. Lots of downed trees.

Today, was leg day. Started a row, and my shoulder went "Nope." So after I get groceries, I'll take Shooby for another walk.

Come to think of it....it may be the Shooby walks causing my shoulder pain. I usually hold he leash in my left hand, and when he decides to take off, he about yanks my arm out of the socket.

Today was a different walking path outside my bank HQ. It's a nice little 1/2 mile loop. Minimal traffic. I used to go skating on it back in the Pepperoni.

Looking forward to the time change for more daylight after work, so I can take him on more walks. He likes them, and they wear him out.

Different park today.

Yesterday, he was so pooped from his walk he was whining at me to go to bed at 5pm.

Was planning to go to gym today, but had to go do work stuff, which meant driving across town to the hospital, and using up my time. I'm taking that hour back in the morning and going to the gym before work.

Improvements

First time I did the 4000m

Today. Slightly longer distance. Pace is improved, and I tried to keep it under 30 strokes per minute. I was trying to have a "leisurely paddle" since I felt tired. So, really that's pretty darn good.

I like seeing improvement.

After work gym. Man, I am just so tired after work. I can really feel the difference between a non-work day and a work day. I wish I had it in me to get up and go in the morning before work.

Anyhow....4000m row. And three sets of stuff that I can't do at home (bench press being the most important.). Which was also poopy because I rowed first.

Yesterday I didn't feel like leaving the house at all, so I used my home stuff and got a quick workout in. (TRX straps, and kettlebell)

Better than nothing, right?

A little slower today. I can definitely feel the difference after a long day at work, and nice day off. I did manage to average my strokes to less than 30/min.

That 34 was me attempting to do a sprint, and after about 30 seconds I was like, nope.

Also, I forgot to pack shoes in my gym bag. I did have these Fitkicks in my bag, though.

Which are basically socks with a thin rubber sole. I usually use them for deadlifts, so I don't have to be barefoot.

Anyway....all that to say everything was slightly off, and I still did pretty ok, and got a workout on a work day.

Go me!

Realized my 3000m was under 16 minutes today.

Decided to go back and see what I was doing when I started this journey.

4 minutes and over 100 strokes knocked off my original time. In exactly one month!

So while I'm still rowing like....

My rowing is getting much more efficient.

Happy Sportsball Day! Go team! Do the thing!

Gym is fairly empty today, as one would expect. Decided to play with some equipment/moves I don't usually do.

I really wish I could make myself not do 30/SPM, but it just feels like my most comfortable pace. I've tried different damper settings, and still end up doing to the same pace.

First part of strength workout. Sled pushes kicked my butt, and my watch timed out during recovery.

How to save tons of money...

Try on clothes during PMS and after consuming 4 glasses of water, a diet Coke, a giant salad and baked sweet potato.

Yes I know I only did half my legs. Gym is so crowded today, getting to equipment was hard.

That's ok....I'll be back tomorrow.

Funnily enough gym is playing Paramore on the overhead music.....

Morning row.

Did some regular splits and some sprints.

I'd really like to get a 500m in less than 2:00, but 2:15 is about the best I can do at the moment. Goals, I guess.

Had a false start at the gym, and had to go home to save on of the Kiddo's packages from porch pirates. But it was at the door, so I could come right back.

Legs and rowing.

4000 meters! All my splits were under 3 minutes.
