Pink Bull is my installation that was up in the Dirt Palace Window Gallery from mid November to mid December. It consists of 5 ink drawings on 30 inch wide, 6 foot tall pieces of paper and 6 spray painted “biggie” cans and 4 spray painted “baby junior” cans.

Whit read poems out of his new zine Good Waste, it’s always really rewarding to hear brilliant, talented, and beautiful QTPOC express their feelings and share their art at Scream Queens. The zine is full of really nostalgic pictures and with the words, so many feelings of loss, dissidence, dysphoria, and recovery are unearthed and funneled through a poetic apparatus that speaks a language that obscures itself to a world that causes us pain. At Scream Queens we speak this language together, and though it feels like our secret, I know it’s being broadcast, it’s strange.

The show was also dedicated to Basil. I’m broken over brown trans girls dying over and over again, but I’m at least happy you don’t have to deal with this hell world anymore. It’s obvious that you were so lovable and special, be good to yourself wherever you are.

Jane Harms (Montreal) performed live, beautiful love songs and other freaky gloom industrial pop stuff. 

PVBLIC BATH (Providence) performed an entrancing video/noise set, I felt lucky to have both people come and share their art with us.

we ran this wolfman centerspread basically so we could hang it up in the mothers news office… here is it with my count zero QSL card, billy ripkin “fuck face” card, giant size garbage pail kid, and rhododendron/dracula embroidery fanart

kim kong was the first garbage pail kid i ever saw and i remember being so amazed that i asked myself “am i asleep or awake right now”. it was so good and so weird and so outside of the things that were regularly on offer to me that i couldn’t believe it existed in consensus reality. the fact that it did really gave me strength. i saw the billy ripkin “fuck face” card when i was a little older, and i was amazed that it slipped through the cracks, that he wrote “fuck face” on the bottom of his bat and this made it through the photo shoot, design, printing, and distribution without anyone catching it, what a rare flower! count zero is the CB handle of my friend christopher- i met him a long time ago and he gave me a huge envelope full of zines that blew my mind. he always drew in pencil, which at the time i considered wimpy. but his drawings aren’t wimpy, they are strong, even (and especially) when they’re delicate, fragmentary, and half-erased, an act of discovery. this is a print he made that you can only get if you communicate with him on CB radio. i caught his voice, howling in the night, and luckily my signal was strong enough that he could hear mine. hanging up on the left is a centerspread from my own newspaper, mothers news. maybe you have the same thing hanging on your wall.
