Some foolish person forgot to adjust privacy settings when playing around with some things related to some things. I’m on the road*, but so excited to figure out a way to hunt down wifi from the middle of internationalish waters tomorrow. It’ll probably be great, because of course it’ll be great. I hope a second season can be finagled because there’s a lot to potentially be covered!

Via Flickr: Well, everyone knows this book is a terrible ideaᴬ and does not exist. What this mockᴮ mock-up presupposes is… maybe it does?ᶜ ᴬ Real talk: obviously I don’t think so, but I am worrying more and more that I am a contrariam. ᴮ A more proper mockup would dump the Food Safety Talk quote from the overlap, make that look a little more like noodles, and probably hit the YLNT reference a little harder (“You can’t write a letter about CAN.”). Also there’d probably be a little more room above the can to give John Roderick a cameo to suggest that temperature doesn’t matter too much. And I’d totes fix the cheek shadow artifact that appears more weird at smaller size. And the purple bits would maybe just interleave the laser-red and crayon-blue lines. maybe. ᶜ Only in this context do I really feel like Eli Cash.

(*technically an airport, then a plane, then another plane, then probably a shuttle, then a car on a road, then on a rouad (in Canada), then maybe a house, maybe a boat–who knows what order things’ll go down in–really; but in case of (polite) Canadian disaster, let’s end this on: …And she rode on in the friscalating dusklight.)

Love~

Jennifer Lawrence will make $8M more than Chris Pratt on their new movie.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lawrence is set to make $20 million, on the upcoming sci-fi movie Passengers. Her co-star Chris Pratt, fresh off the biggest opening weekend ever for Jurassic World, will make $12 million. This is a small but crucial step forward.

Hi David! I read on your Wiki (I know not a valid source but you can tell me if it's untrue) that it was your choice to try to keep your age out of the media when starting Tumblr because fear of losing reputability. If this is true, do you hope to inspire young, bright entrepreneurs to reach their dreams? What advice would you give them?

The first time I lied about my age, I was 14 and applied for a credit card so I could order swords from the Internet.

Second time, I had just hired Marco who was 24 at the time. I was 20. He asked me how old I was and without even thinking I said “23″ – too embarrassed to admit I wasn’t even 21. I kept that up for a few years.

The 1st generation Apple Watch looks so much like the first iPhone. I’m sure in about 5 years this thing is going to be as thin as a postage stamp!

Off The Record: The Truth About Spotify

On this week’s episode of Off The Record, Jesse and I are breaking down the myths of Spotify. Did you hear that streaming services don’t pay artists? We bust that myth. We bust it open so wide that you may even feel like you’ve been lied to for years. It’s true. We also get into how streaming services could and should be more artist friendly, and how Spotify should be more than just another business stream for artists. This is a good one.

Please take a listen if you’re interested and make sure to check out the Off The Record website for show notes on the episode and for more information on how to keep up to date with us. The new episode can be heard below!
