Picked up this papaya yesterday with one thought in mind, eating my green smoothie bowl out of it ๐๐ Less dishes, right?! I liked it so much that it might be a repeat breakfast tomorrow! Spent the day yesterday parasailing & kayaking, so sleeping in this morning was a must, it's crazy how much the sun tires you out โ๏ธ Now time for sipping some coffee on the beach with mom and soaking up some sun until it gets way too hot (supposed to reach 92 degrees today! ๐ณ) Recipe: cut papaya in half and scoop out seeds, hollow out the middle and place in a plastic bag to freeze. In the morning, blend up 2 c spinach, frozen papaya, 1/2 c frozen mango, 1 scoop @designerprotein vanilla whey (use link http://bit.ly/1pI4X0Z for 20% off your purchase), 1/2 c @lovemysilk vanilla unsweetened almond milk! First dinner with the family in Myrtle beach ๐ We landed & grocery shopped to fill the condo with all the good stuff ๐ and then spent the rest of the day soaking up some sun ๐๐ Just enjoyed this amazing dinner of tomato & onion salad, corn & basil salad, garden salad with black beans, & chicken, prepared by my lovely mom and I & now enjoying a cup of tea sitting on the beach listening to the waves ๐ Couldn't get any better than this! Couldn't decide between oats or a smoothie bowl this morning, so turmeric oats topped with #nicecream - sounds strange but it was life changing ๐ - was the brekky of choice! Made my usual turmeric spiced zoats recipe but swapped the zucchini for cauliflower & I'm not mad about it, might actually like it more ๐ I stirred in a couple egg whites and then blended up half a nanner with 1/2 a scoop of @designerprotein vanilla whey (get 20% off discount with this link ) & topped it all with my fave @barneybutter drizzle โจ Now it's time to repack my suitcase because I'm headed to myrtle beach tomorrow! โ๏ธ I'm staying near on Garden City beach, any good suggestions for healthy food around there? My perfect afternoon definitely consists of this amazing snack - @foodforlifebaking Ezekiel toast + sliced nanner + cinnamon + @betterbodyfoods powdered pb + rest of the nanner & @essentiallycoconut butter pecan coconut butter๐ - & treating myself to a soak in the tub ๐๐ป with my favorite #natural spearmint lavender jojoba, flax, & shea butter bar by @econaturalsoap (they also make awesome natural makeup, chapsticks, & other natural products!) after a nice face scrub & mask with @frankandwhit ๐ I'll catch up with you all later, busy devouring & relaxing in the tub ๐
The creamiest & most nutrient packed overnight chia oats + @kachavatribe vanilla whole body meal topped with blueberries & gogi berries for breakfast this morning ๐ this stuff is great! It's low in sugar, high in protein, and has tons of good stuff! I stirred it into 1 c @so_delicious unsweetened coconut milk, 1/4 c @bobsredmill gluten free rolled oats, & 2 tbsp @bobsredmill chia seeds, added a dash of cinnamon and a few drops of @traderjoeslist pure stevia extract๐๐ป Now off to run some errands & head to the gym! When you're still a bit jet lagged โ๏ธ it's acceptable to have breakfast at noon right?! ๐ Oh how I missed my smoothie bowls, especially this mango blueberry smoothie bowl (recipe in comments ๐๐ป), while I was in Italy! Breakfast is quite different there than what I was used to, it's mostly pastries, pies, & cakes, which I enjoyed for a few days and then craved fruits and veggies ๐๐๐ฟ Oh adorable is my spoon from @sweetminthandmade ๐ I'm truly obsessed with it! "Eat, Glow, Love yourself" is kind of a condensed version of what I truly believe. One should eat mindfully and healthfully which will then elicit a glow that begins on the inside and exudes outwards. Loving myself is something I still struggle with at times and even currently with a few pounds gained during my trip and even before during senior year festivities, but I have to keep reminding myself that it's okay, amazing memories & experiences are worth a few pounds gained! Eating healthfully and mindfully becomes easier as you begin to truly love yourself because why would you want to put crap in something you cherish ๐ Hope you all have a great day lovelies & thanks for reading the long post xoxo ๐
Good morning & happy hump day friends ๐ค I'm finally back from Italรญa & while I'm a bit bummed to be back in the states, I was ready to get back to my usual foods, I think I've had enough pasta ๐, pizza ๐, & gelato ๐ฆ for a lifetime ๐ Breakfast this morning consisted of a two egg white & one egg omelette with sautรฉed yellow pepper & vidalia onion topped with tomato & avo on a bed of spinach with half a ruby red grapefruit and some black coffee โ๏ธ I will get back to your sweet sweet comments very soon, I'm sorry it will take me some time to catch up โค๏ธ I missed you all lots, by the way!!
