"As long as you’re happy to be Mad Bilbo.” She said, smiling again. “I get defensive over people I care about. Even if it’s just over silly rumours. I know you don’t need me to defend you, but I would if you did.” She got up and gave him a hug.

Bilbo chuckled fondly and hugged Estella back fondly.  “Thank you, my dear.  I appreciate that thought.”

Just a Scratch

“ alright then, just bilbo. ” A small smile curled his lips as he nodded his head at the question. “ more tea would do wonders… i give my thanks. "

Bilbo nodded and hurried over to make tea for himself and Aragorn.  It didn’t take too long.  Tea was something Bilbo could make in his sleep, if he so wished.  Once the tea was done, he padded over to hand the cup to the man.

"Hot. Leaf. Water." (you know who I am)

"You know what? No. You are wrong. How dare you say such a thing. I will find you and pour more water on your head! Don’t think that I won’t!"

Thorin chuckled at Bilbo’s outburst. Hobbits were quite adorable things, and Bilbo was even more so when he was riled up. He cupped his hobbit’s cheek and leaned in to press a kiss to his lips. “Hush,” he murmured. “Tea is no reason to get so upset.”

Bilbo blinked in surprise at the kiss to his lips, but he didn't pull away.  Instead, he kissed back lightly.  "You're still a stubborn and horrible Dwarf," he grumbled.

*whispers* Elves! *runs away to avoid the wrath of Thorin*

"Elves…" Thorin huffed, turning his head and spitting on the ground. They may have aided him in the Battle of Five Armies and a few had earned his grudging respect, but respect did not equal like. He had not forgotten all the slights from the elves of Mirkwood.

“I am glad to hear that.” Slowly, so as to not dislodge Bilbo’s fingers from his hair, he moved to press a kiss to his hobbit’s cheek. “And I with you, Master Burglar.”

"That is good to hear," Bilbo said fondly, resting his forehead against Thorin's.  "I'd not have it any other way."

" { If you have need } ,” Arwen said, as she stopped in her steps toward him, once he had reached close enough. The day was fair and she had longed for a walk, and friend faces only made such a thing as a choice even greater.

"We could find someone who would be only too glad to give into company the kindness of helping and let you leave to dictating the tale instead?"

Bilbo chuckled softly and shook his head.  "No, no," he murmured.  "This is my tale to tell.  It wouldn't be quite the same if it wasn't me writing it.  No, I'll simply take longer to do so.  Not that I'm complaining, mind you," he added.  "All of us have to age.  Save for yourself, and your kind, my lady," he added, bowing his head to her.

Elrond: So this is your purpose? To enter the mountain.
Thorin: What of it?
Elrond: There are some who would not deem it wise.
Gandalf: Who do you mean?
Elrond: Everyone. There's a fucking dragon in there. What the fuck.

Thorin cleared his throat as he contemplated how best to word his explanation without upsetting Bilbo’s delicate sensibilities.

"I am sometimes invited back to one’s residence, however…I do have a standing reservation at a nearby hotel- very posh, you understand. Most prefer the latter."

He looked at Bilbo with a stare of intent as he took another calculated sip of coffee.

"The choice is entirely yours, of course."

The idea of going to a hotel seemed just so impersonal to Bilbo.  Of course, that was part of why hiring an escort in the first place.  But then there was the idea of being more relaxed because he was in his own home.  And no one else lived in his apartment, so it wasn't that he was worried about a roommate walking in on them.

"I think we can go to my place," Bilbo said quietly.

9: Jawline Kiss

Thorin stood before the hobbit, looking down at him for a moment with a slight look of nervousness in his eyes. He bent down ever so slightly and place a gentle kiss on the small man’s jawline.

Thorin followed close behind him, looking around the once welcoming home. It almost seemed to him that people were much too eager to take the poor hobbit’s things. He took it upon himself to straighten up a few things, bit fixing a few picture frames and picking up a chair or two was a drop in a bucket compared to the tasks at hand.

With a soft sigh, and taking care to make sure the other dwarves weren’t watching, Thorin quickly kissed the top of Bilbo’s head and ruffled his hair.

Bilbo smiled weakly up at Thorin, touching his wrist gently.  "Thank you for your help," he murmured gently.  "I can still make some tea, I hope.  My kettle wasn't worth that much, so I'm pretty sure they didn't try to take that away just yet."

Biblo was older when he returned, yet not but bosom welcome by Lord Elrond and his Kin and kind. It took little time for those of Imladris, frequent of fosters of Kings, Nothern Rangers, and weary travelers, to adjust to the hobbit within their midst.

One day he was only one of a company that had passed by Imladris’s hidden clefts and musical falls in times past, and then in another he was one of her children, constant by the day as the rise of the stars. Friend to all in his chosen rest, respectful in his simple, pleased ways and bright eyes.

Which was how Arwen found him, this afternoon, and graced him a smile.

"Have you finished your book writing for the day, Master Baggins?"

Smiling up at Arwen as she came towards him, Bilbo slowly closed the book he had been writing and sketching in.  "I think I have for today, my Lady Arwen," he commented, pinching at the bridge of his nose.  "My eyes are growing tired much more easily these days.  The price of aging, it seems."

"Master Baggins saw his chance and he took it. He’s thought of nothing but his soft bed and his warm hearth since first he stepped out of his door. We will not be seeing our hobbit again."

"He’s long g o n e.”
