☕️Make a cup of your favorite tea, stir it clockwise, or stir in a sigil matched with your intent.

🛁Do some self care. Bless your face wash before you use it, take a bath and light some incense. Take a shower and visualize your negativity washing off of you.

🍃Open a window, allow yourself to take in the outside world. Use all 5 senses.

🪐Practice something simple, for example, practice grounding. Find a method that works best for you.

🎼Listen to music! Music magick is incredible and can seriously lift your spirits. If you start feeling better from the music, dance! Get yourself moving!

🔮Pick a crystal that you have that matches with what you need at the moment, use it like a worry stone! Rub it with your thumb and try to push all the negativity into it.

💃🏻Make a playlist of songs that make you feel witchy, listen to it whenever you need a boost!

⚡️Practice energy work, work on feeling for the different energies around you (be careful with this though, you may end up losing spoons.)

🌿If you have plants, talk to them! Maybe sing em a song! You could do this with crystals too!

📱If you have a pinterest account, search around for some witchcraft info that you can go back to and read when you have the energy! Or even just look at witchy aesthetic pictures!

🧘🏻If you are able to meditate, do that! There are so many guided meditations out there if you’re unable to do it on your own.

🧼If you have a cleansing spray, use that in your room/where you spend most of your time. If not, lysol or febreze!

🕯Light a candle, watch the flame dance and allow yourself to get lost in it. Shut out the world for a bit.

[S] - Sól or Sunna is the personification of the Sun.

Solse Gat

The Solse Gat is a place in Gelderland, the Netherlands known to be rich of clay. The place itself was formed during the penultimate ice age. A big clump of ice melted which left a small crater which is now called the Solse Gat. The name literally means hole of Sol.

Interestingly this place has several legends attached to it. One legend in particular I want to mention is about its original use. On this place the Goddess Sól/Sunna was worshiped by wise women. Fruit was offered to the Goddess on this piece of land which of course all changed when Christianity made its debute in the region.

Another legend mentions that a monastery was build on top of this hole. The monks had sold their souls to the devil and he provided the monks with extensive amounts of food and wine. According to the story, witches visited the monasty every night to hold their black mass. Until one Christmas night, the monastery suddeny vanished into thin air during a storm. Legend says that you can still hear the bells of the monastery ringing and ghostly figures of monks can be seen wandering around.

The last story that involves this place is that of a murder. A greedy shepherd killed a rich stranger on a field nearby the hole. The shepherd lived out his life without being caught. After his death however, things started to get strange. Every time his body was buried, his coffin would mysteriously appear near the Solse Gat. Villagers eventually bound his coffin to two horses and the horses led the villagers to the body of the murdered stranger. It is said that his restless spirit still wanders the area.

Of course you should take this all with a grain of salt but I wanted to mention this place because it might have actually been used as a place of worship of the Goddess Sol. Stories about the devil posessing monks in a monastery might have been an attempt by the church to demonise this pagan place. Even until this day, radical Christian Dutch political parties consider this place to be satanic and they are actually trying to ban any pagan celebration on this site.
