I did it. I wrote a book. They were the longest and shortest 2 years of my life. I thought it was going to be 6 months. Then a year. Then a year and a half. No matter how you imagine them, there are things that can only be understood until they happen to you. Like having a child. And the truth is that in a certain way, writing a book is not too different from that. You spend a long and intense period with something that lives in your gut, that grows and never leaves you. You live with the awareness that on the day of childbirth, your life will make a 180-degree turnaround.
