Are you a feminist?  It’s easy to say you want women to be equal with men, but then you turn around in the very next paragraph to throw a lot of online feminists under the bus and dismiss a lot of what they have to say as “extreme” and unrealistic (as implied by your commitment to realism).

Who exactly is acting with only emotion? Who are these online feminists and what are these online views that are so extreme? Or are they radical thought, theories, and experiences that have been long discussed before the internet, in feminist circles, before you were even born?

I have to ask.  I have to because so many men take this viewpoint - “oh yes, I love equality, but no, I don’t want to think too hard about what women and people are actually feeling when faced with their everyday reality and oppression, that’s not part of feminism; let me, a man, dictate what good/realistic feminism is while I dismiss the parts I, a man, don’t like.”  And yes, it’s important that you are a man.  It’s important for you to continue to recognize that, despite your desire for equality, you are still part of the oppressive group - this means that what you have to say will be taken much more seriously than any woman.

This means that when you answer questions like this, you’re going to have a lot of people online, reading it, and nodding along, thinking that you know what you’re talking about when you quite possibly don’t.

Especially since you refer to online feminism (mostly discussed/posted by WOMEN) as 1) unrealistic, 2) extreme, and 3) too emotional.

Hmm.  What does that sound like? (answer: a sexist man dismissing something a woman has to say)

So please, what is the super extreme feminism you are referring to?

Dude, for someone who pretends to want a discussion rather than an argument, they sure do love to throw a temper tantrum whenever one’s given to them in a silver platter.

I’m sorry, but I fail to see how I threw a tantrum? You guys are kind of stretching here. She criticized my remarks, and I made a rebuttal. That sounds like a discussion to me? 

If anything, I feel I could have responded much more negatively. After all, I said I support feminism, and she replied by calling me sexist and saying that my opinions weren’t valid. Pretty hostile and unnecessary in my opinion. But I decided not to focus on that, and instead address her question and present her with a couple of my own. Seems pretty civil to me. 

I think Tiny’s response is kinda what he meant in his initial post. ._.

And extremist ideals are saying that all men should die, men are scum, if I find out I’m having a boy I’m terminating the birth, etc.

When you go out on your soap box and bitch at the people willing to help you spread your message, it’s really hard to hear anything you have to say as anything more than white noise.

I’ve been in other fandoms that extensively use reaction gifs for their interactions with one another, and I want to see more of that on here!

So I’m putting out a series of reaction gifs so people can take and use them to give their replies, text posts, and blogs some color, sass, and visual interest. All these gifs are ones I personally made and they are free for you to take and use for your own needs. No watermarks, no credit required. 100% public domain.

All gifs are 299px wide or smaller so they won’t distort and stretch in your in-line text posts. 

Please, do take and use them, especially if you can’t make your own gifs! I want to see more reaction gifs on my dash!
