oh gosh i misread the information things were supposed to be done and submitted the 4th but OH BOY i skipped right over it and thought it was the 14th (which is the last submission day oops). anyways, i’m so unimaginative i didn’t know how rei would react to rin wearing a maid dress, so i kept it really lowkey ahah orz. i hope you still like it.

30 days of rinrei #2: first impression
I have to admit, the thing that got me into rinrei wasn’t the most poetic or meaningful or meta-worthy thing of them all. I was very neutral towards every pairings as I watched the show. I was neutral through all scenes where rinrei interacted with each other...until that little skit happened in the preview for the 11th episode of first the season. (You know, the all-out perfect body yelling battle).
I don’t know. Like, at that moment in the series, they were quite mad and wary of each other - they were hostile towards each other, even - and here, they are arguing so intensely about something so stupid. It shows that they have a potential to be goofy and dorky together. At that moment, I suppose I knew that they would work out in the end. I FELT IT. So yeah. That was my first impression of rinrei. And that’s how I got into this pile of trash.

Why r^2 is an ingenious name for the butterfly boyfriends:
Ah ah haah, a thought occurred to me while distracting myself with math and rinrei thoughts. Yeah, so sometimes you see people tag rinrei as r^2 (perhaps because they both are math nerds), and I find it so amusing when that happens because it fits them so well!
Yeah, so everything multiplied by itself becomes squared, right? so:
- both of their name starts with an r (the most obvious reason).
- both may appear different at first glance, but they totally have a lot in common when you look closer.
- both specialises in the butterfly stroke.
- BOTH ARE 177 CM TALL (!!!!!).
