I was up in my rooms getting ready for the party my stepmother was throwing. As I quickly slipped into my gown and grabbed my tiara, I was rushed out the door and towards the banquet hall by a guard. I reached the door and took a deep breath hoping and praying I wasn’t going to be alone the whole night as I walked out onto the stair well being introduced

“Please welcome, Princess Savannah” the guard announced over the crowd as I walked down the stairs to my stepmother who was glaring daggers into me. As I reached her.

“Let the party commence!” She said cheerfully and clapped her hands as the music started and looked at me and rolled her eyes before going to mingle.

He kept you close to him as well, taking in these pleasant moments with you as he waltzed with you.

I smiled and relaxed against him as the song faded in the background. “Thank you” I whispered to him gently looking up to him

He glanced to you once they were here. Smiling gently he bowed lightly and held your hand. "I say we shall have this dance." He replied.

I smiled and giggled waltzing with him. As I stayed close to him relaxing in his presence.

He nodded to your response. Being led down the secret way, he kept a vigilant eye throughout the passage to the center of the garden.

"Yeah. Let us hope."

I pushed back the vines and went to the center where the sides had mirrors and a large swing and my favorite flower covered everything. I smiled looking everything over knowing this was my most favorite place in the entire kingdom besides the beach. I relaxed completely and looked up at him knowing only a few knew how to get here. As the music played in the background I faced him and curtsied giggling lightly “can I have this dance?” I said smiling up at him my eyes sparking in the moonlight

"Yes. Knowing him that is exactky what he'll do."

He made sure to be quick and, before long, you and he had both arrived at the garden you had asked to go to.

"Here we are. Free from that party and anyone in it, at least for a small while."

I felt him pull me along as I tried to keep with his pace trying to gather my skirts to keep me from tripping. I nodded a little as he spoke

“Hopefully no one will come looking here first.” I said quietly as I took a deep breath and pulled his hand towards the secret way to the center of the garden

I glanced up at him still feeling guilty about the interaction. My hands were ice cold when he held them, I nodded a little “we better hurry before he whines to my step mother..” I say quietly knowing Trevor was too much of a baby to let Dwyn have time with me without tattling

Trevor smirked hearing him “running off to Daddy. What a coward” he said laughing as he turned to go back inside.

I peaked around watching Trevor leave. My hands clutched to the bottom of Dwyns jacket trembling.. staying silent knowing he wouldn’t have to be involved with him if it wasn’t for me

With his eyes narrowing, he stood staying between him and Savannah, not budging for anything.

"If you truly think that I will let you walk off with her then you are possibly one of the biggest fools attending the party. And besides, what have you done that you think defines you as a real man anyway?" He also did not look vsry pleased with Trevor titling himself as the soon-to-be king of this kingdom.

"I didn't realize you were a comedian. Thinking you could rule this kingdom as king. You'd have better chances chasing down a horse on foot." He replied, the skepticism heavy in his voice.

He scowled hearing him “do you want me to get the queen involved” he sneered eyes glaring at him

“I’m sure she will be beside herself that someone was denying the Princess to her future husband and the queens future son in law” he smirked stepping closer to them

"Well well. If it isn't the know-it-all, too big for his britches." He stated, looking to Luke with narrowed eyes, "Did you come by at the beck and call of Savannahs mothers oh-so worried direction to bring her wayward stepdaughter home? Cause if so, you may as well turn around and head back."

I looked up at Dwyn and hid myself behind him my hands starting to feel a little cold again this back as I tried to calm down knowing Dwyn was the only one who knew about my powers and it needed to stay that way..

Trevor chuckled at his remarks “I think you introduced me wrong” he smirked “it’s Mr. soon to be king of this kingdom, and no she hasn’t noticed the Princess’ disappearance but she is to come with me now. I have things to do with her” he said glaring at him “she doesn’t need to be seen with you either. She deserves a real man” he stated waiting for him to hand her over

"You had every right to grieve for your fathers passing, as did anyone else who cared about him. But I'm sure if he was still around to see the whole situation he would have pushed her away in a heartbeat, I'm betting."

I nodded a little “ he didn’t see the way she treated me though.. it has gotten worse but it was rough when I still had him to protect me..” I sighed quietly and stared at my feet. I soon jumped at the sound of someone screaming out my name and clutched onto Dwyns side

“SAVANNAH!” Luke, the obnoxious prince from the 5th kingdom, yelled sneeringly as he walked closer towards Savannah and Dwyn..

"You know, I've always wondered why your father decided to marry your stepmother. It's pretty strange if I'm being honest, since he seemed like the lind of man to be a good judge of someones character."

I smiled giddily as he led me towards the gardens and out of the palace.

I looked at him when he made his comment. “He was lonely.. And she was kind to him and tried to put him on a pedistole. he seemed to be a little happier with someone else around, and to have someone who had been through a similar grief to help each other.. but when he passed it was like she didn’t care that he was gone and punished me for grieving..” I said looking down at my feet. “They weren’t together for long, maybe a year before he passed, he didn’t get a chance to see the entire situation..”

I leaned into him slightly and looked up at him smiling at his wink. “That’s not what she thinks” I said and brushed my hair out of my face. “She thinks she will be in charge of the kingdom even when I become queen..” I said sighing a little

As a looked down again squeezing my hands tightly knowing the ice would get me killed if I slipped up..

After your stepmother left he made his way over to you. He made sure to keep an eye out for what was around him in case anyone would intereupt, but spoke once he was close enough to you.

"Looks like your stepmom is as pleased as ever to see you." He says, the sarcasm quite palpable in his comment, "That aside, you look really good in that gown and tiara."

I smiled a little when I saw him “as always” I chuckled lightly “and as thrown together as it was I’m surprised she didn’t make me go change” I said as I looked down at my dress and back to him
