Some adventurers, after reaching a personal goal in their adventuring careers, choose to retire or pursue other work in Aria. As a highly experienced Lightning Mage, Tasha chose to become an instructor for the Arcane Tower after attaining A Rank. She teaches the intricacies of advanced air magic to many of the Tower’s brightest students and future adventurers.

The dungeon relic that took her to arcana rank A is called Lightning Gear “Tantalus”. It’s a suit of skintight armor that provides excellent elemental and physical protection while also storing air aspected essence for later use. This allows it to, for a short time, enhance all of Tasha’s air magic to truly terrifying levels. It has the unfortunate side effect of destroying even the most hardy magical clothes and light armor in the process, so very often after a serious battle she would return wearing nothing but the suit. She’s able to remove it via an intensive, hour long meditation that causes it to unravel in spirals, but due to laziness she often goes for long periods of time without removing it.

She wishes she could get a stable boyfriend, but her combination of laziness over daily tasks and intensity over subjects she cares about make her too much of a roller-coaster for most suitors.

Spellcross Character Design - “Rafflesia Princess” Ashlotte

Ashlotte is a Nature Mage, wielding Earth and Water equally to create and manipulate plant matter of all varieties. She is a successful adventurer whose only wish is to reign at the top, and her ambitions have taken her all the way to the top of A Rank. Many would be content with the riches and status that come from A Rank, but not her. She’s one of only a handful in the entire Dungeon Explorer’s Guild who seeks to gain AA Rank and head to the Abyss. Those who have partied with her often cracks jokes about her “thorny” personality, and feel pity for the AA rankers who may eventually be subjected to her demanding presence.

A large part of her success is thanks to a AA ranked relic called the Thorn Augur: an enchanted whip which can create thorn blades anywhere along its length at her command. It serves as equal parts disabling and damaging as enemies get wrapped in piercing thorns in seconds.

I drew this last one just a little before spending my quartz and held off posting, since I wasn’t sure if I’d be successful in summoning her. Thankfully, the catalyst worked!!
