Not all those who wander are lost…
Warm weather = wet woofer.
I always love those IPO threads where people are weirdly proud that they drive four to six hours one way to a club. That is such a huge time commitment!
Martin doesn’t prioritize IPO highly enough to be willing to drive four hours one way to a club; he travels across Canada too much for his job. You can’t attend a Wednesday night training session in Calgary, AB when you are sitting at the airport in Halifax, NS.
I drive 30 minutes and I’m exhausted. We have people that drive 2+ hours to get to us, but I couldn’t do it.
Same. I wouldn’t want to drive more than 30-45 minutes for regular lessons. Gotta say, IPO seems to be the only sport I observe where there are regular discussions of driving hours for training like it’s a bragging point. I don’t get it.
I don't brag about it (I think), but I drive 45 minutes to a PSA club on Saturday and 2.5 hours to an IPO club on Sunday. I think it's an interesting topic. There were closer IPO groups, but the one I go to is my favorite. It's a huge time commitment and I originally said I was only going to go once a month or so, but honestly, I have a blast and the drive is worth it. But where I live, I drive an hour to do /anything/, except go to Walmart lol.

Couldn’t pose nicely for the ONLY group photo? Thanks.

Today’s second adventure included a forest fire (reported it) and saving a turtle from said fire (the dogs helped).
Floyd the turtle is chill. A++ 10/10
Dock Diving! Freya’s personal best is 11′ 2″!
3 Qs towards her Novice and 2 toward her juniors. She had a blast, literally screaming (GSDs, man) with enthusiasm once she figured out the game.
Natsu’s Protection Dog 1 title video, including obedience and bitework. 17 months old. Judge: Trace Sims OB: 83/100 Protection: 85/100
I loooved watching this! I especially like his bouncy, enthusiastic heel. Definitely training inspo.
Good job Natsu!
I like Trace Sims, he was actually out here in TN last weekend judging an FO only trial. He seemed like he hard a sharp pen, though, lol.
Here’s the video of his BH! You can see the puppy come out every now and then, he’s such a dorky boy sometimes but I love him.
omg have I mentioned lately how much he reminds me of Freya? This looks so much like what Freya did during her BH, lol.
Congrats! Great job. Very nice sit out of motion!
SG1 for this lil’ gal. BH next weekend, let’s see if she has some brains to go with those looks. Pictures taken at the show coming soon.
