The Demon Librarian Cover Reveal!

Hades’ librarian is ready to claim love for herself, but word to the wise, those late fees are killer.

Melinoe worries she’ll never find love as legendary as her Olympian parents’. Once content working with her hellhounds to collect overdue books, the demonic librarian now travels the land of the living in a desperate search for the unwritten oral tales of Elysium’s heroes. Sam never expected to study in the church's library while seeking clues about his cultist upbringing, and he definitely didn’t mean to summon a charming horned woman only able to visit Earth at night. But Melinoe is a tantalizing distraction, and he can’t seem to stop himself from coming back, seeking truth in Melinoe’s sweet and irresistible darkness. As their devotion to each other deepens, stolen nights are not enough. There’s one way to have more, but it carries a heavy price – unleashing nightmares into the waking world. Sam’s angelic nature should make them natural enemies, but their only chance at being together, and keeping the world safe, is to work together. Will their love be enough, or are they fated to trigger the Apocalypse?

Good Omens meets The Wicked + The Divide in The Demon Librarian. This reimagined Greek myth is for adult lovers of all things dark, deadly and gothic, with an LGBTQIA+ positive twist, opposites attract, and a standalone happily ever after. This fantasy romance is a m/f dual point of view featuring a cult member who accidentally summons a demon, but can you blame him? Who doesn't need a hot demon in their life?

We wanted a single moment, a single good minute, to tell people about our next book. How inside is a Christian cult has gone awry and how their ‘Chosen One’ summons unlikely help. But there’s not going to be a single good minute until Palestine is free. But may a story about finding freedom and liberation in faith keep you company while we all fight for freedom.

An Actually Short Reading List

I’ve seen a lot of Short, Introductory, Beginner’s reading lists with ten or twenty links, and, well, they’re intimidating. While you might not want to leave off something important, if everyone gets scared off by your list, nobody reads anything. So, let’s try something a bit more approachable! Here are three easy-to-read works.

If you’re new to communism, this short-ish work will introduce you to… the principles of communism! Engels’s writing style can be a bit difficult, and he references a lot of old-timey stuff (what’s a spinning-jenny?), but it’s a good introduction!

If you like the thought of communism, but are wary of ‘authoritarian’ or ‘totalitarian’ communism, this very short (one page!) text might help you understand why historically, communists have supported those measures (hint: if they just wanted power, they wouldn’t be siding with the powerless!).

Quotations from Chairman Mao, while longer than the last two works, is made up of small, self-contained… quotations, which are individually easy to read (and reread), and if you’re interested in learning more about a topic, you can always check out the work the quote is referenced from. This ‘little red book’ discusses communist perspectives on topics ranging from education, the military, and study, to self-criticism and culture.

Mao’s writing style is, I find, much easier to read, and the little red book covers such a wide range of topics that, if you only try to read one of these, I’d say to try this one. If feudal peasants were able to study and understand it, so can you!

That’s all! Thank you for reading this, and I hope you give the works I mentioned a try!

Second image is a tweet by If Americans Knew (@ifamericansknew) reading: "Rima Najjar: Rebecca Vilkomerson of JVP, can we talk? Jewish Voice for Peace says it supports BDS, but for 10 years it had a head whose spouse works for an Israeli company (Check Point Software, which has close ties to the Israeli military). One may wonder why Israel would kidnap a poet. The answer, though painful, is simple. In its genocidal war against Palestinians, Israel seeks to erase not only Palestinian lives but also their culture and heritage. From shelling the Great Omari Mosque’s minaret to bombing Gaza’s universities, libraries, historic homes, and ancient churches, targeting a poet, a journalist, or an artist is part of this genocidal war against an impoverished population.
